Posted by Jigglypuff on 2 Oct 2012 at 6:01pm PDT
With the release of Black and White 2 less than a week away in the US (and only a little bit more than a week in Europe and Oceania), let's recap what's going on. First off, the Global Link will be reopening by tomorrow for much of the English-speaking world, and a week later for the UK. This is important, because you only have until October 18th to...

If you're a PowerUp Rewards member and preorder by Sunday, you can get Lapras, Emolga, Riolu, Scyther, and Pikachu when you pick up your game. In other news, Team Rocket has a (Japanese) Twitter account now. It's related to a...

Slow month on our part. Let's do a news update round-up! The Pokemon/Nobunaga's Ambition crossover has been retitled Pokemon Conquest and will be released in North America in June 18, 2012. The region, Ransei, has seventeen different territories and is shaped like Arceus. The battling system is somewhat like a tactical RPG and has teams of up to six...
Following the results of a poll of all version mascot Pokemon, a special Rayquaza will be available to Japanese players this month. Outside of Japan, Pokemon's promotion of The Legend of Mewtwo will allow players to receive the special Mewtwo previously available in Japan as part of the Black and White anniversary last fall. Global Link, Pokemon Center, and McDonald's Events[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 21 Dec 2011 at 6:10pm PST
Following up the recent game announcement, here's a few other upcoming events, mostly for Japan. The Thick Fat Mamoswine that's been available throughout Europe is now available pretty much worldwide through the Global Link, with the password POKEMONDOTCOM. A set of 6 Pokemon who evolve into Dragon-Types will be available beginning next month in Japan....
Befriending a Pokemon, New Crossover Game, New Movie[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 18 Dec 2011 at 8:26pm PST
It's been a busy time for all of us, so I apologize for the lack of news posts recently. There is a bit to report now, however. First off, the results of the Vote to Befriend a Pokemon poll have been posted. Arceus, who has no special ability in the Dream World, took first place. The password to unlock it will be revealed in February. The rest of the...
Nintendo Events, Global Link, New Pokemon Center, TCG[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 22 Nov 2011 at 8:51pm PST
I've added a bunch more Nintendo Events to the list. A Croagunk has been announced for nearly worldwide distribution, and more details in regards to the previously announced Blissey and Altaria have been added. The Tohoku area of Japan, which was hit by the large earthquake and tsunami earlier this year, will be giving away a Snivy at the new Pokemon...
First off, the more official news. Until the end of the month, players can Vote to Befriend a Pokemon on the official site. Meanwhile in Japan, Global Link users will have the opportunity to obtain an Altaria and a Blissey later this month. Shoppers can also vote in stores on a mascot Pokemon which will be available for download early next year. ...
Sorry about the downtime today. Our hosts upgraded part of the server and things didn't get reset correctly. Since then, I've gone and updated the Nintendo Events list with some corrections to older entries, and the current Global Link giveaways of Mamoswine and Banette.
TCG Giveaways, Tournaments, 3D Updates, and Twitter[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 13 Oct 2011 at 5:55pm PDT
News has been pretty slow lately, which is fine by me because I've been incredibly busy. First up, the 3D Pokedex app has been updated for those of you who have a 3DS but haven't checked in a while. The update adds more functionality to the AR Viewer, but you have to manually run the update. Next up, our friends at ZeldaInformer are running another...
Time to catch up on news. First off, the 14th Movie has been announced for English release. Depending on which version you want to see, there's Pokemon the Movie: Black - Victini and Reshiram and Pokemon the Movie: White - Victini and Zekrom coming out this December. There will also be a limited theatrical release for the films. The two films are nearly...
I've made a few performance tweaks around the site, and added some more Events to the list. I think I'm going to completely redo how we handle them to make them a bit more accommodating, though. Anyway, Group 2 of Psypoke Idol has ended, and the voting for Group 3 has begun. Here's how last week's 2000 votes broke down. Last week's Top 5 were a group...
And as we've reached the end of the school year, time to get back into the swing of things. First off, a bunch of news from the Global Link. If you befriended an Eeveelution, you'll be able to pick it up starting on May 19th. You can also pick up a special Munna C-Gear Theme, if you enter the special code from an official guidebook. As a counterpart...
I hope you all enjoyed our t-shirt promotion; it looks to have been well-received. While many are still having difficulties with the Global Link, don't forget to check out the Befriend a Pokemon minigame if you haven't already. The free Eeveelution from this game will only be available until May 5th. Speaking of special Pokemon, the 14th Movie Victini...
A few more updates were posted to the official Pokemon website yesterday. First off, the Secret Egg event is coming. This event will allow players to receive one of 3 Pokemon in an egg. The Pokemon are meant to imitate those seen in the newest season of the anime. Certain hidden bits of information in your game will determine which of the Pokemon...

Sorry for my recent silence; it's been a busy week and it's not going to get any easier. We've put together a few more pages covering parts of Black and White. First off, a full Items List. Locations for all these items are forthcoming. We've also put together a handy Battle Subway Guide. As usual, you can also see a list of all the Battle Subway...

Well, it's been up for a few days now, but now's as good a time as any to announce in a news update that Part 7 of the BW walkthrough has been added. Part 1 and Part 2 also have been revised based on the English copies of the game. Parts 3-5 will be revised a bit later, but parts 6 and 7 are already final. The list of Nintendo Events has been updated again. Now included are both a Zoroark and a Zuruggu for Japan, as well as a distribution of the Liberty Pass in Europe. A few important things to note: this is the first English-language publication to use Victini's name - see Page 59. Also, all of these events will be conducted over WiFi connection. Due...
Once again, the official website for Black and White (as well as our hosts, IGN) has been updated with new information on Black and White. Your rivals' names are Bianca and Cheren. N will retain his name. Professor Juniper's assistant is Fennel; she'll ask you to bring her some Dream Mist from Munna and Musharna. As for the Pokemon, say hello to -Patrat...
Though actual news from Pokemon sources has been slow lately, things have been keeping busy around here. Over the last week I've been making a lot of little changes to the Psydex. If you'd noticed it acting funny, my apologies; there were a few things I initially overlooked. Everything should be back to normal now, but let me know if anything still...

Before the rumors, though, the facts. As you might have noticed yesterday afternoon, our list of Nintendo Events continues to grow, now with the US release of Ash's Pikachu coming next month. On to the rumors. There's been a lot of buzz lately about a GameStop flier that lists a Black and White release date. I'd like to point out that this flier is...
Just a small update tonight. I've just settled back in for winter break, so I haven't had much time to work on things yet, but you can expect more in the coming days. You'll notice that a fair number of Nintendo Events have been added. These include both events for Black and White in Japan, and some previous Japanese events for Gen IV now coming to...
Happy Friday! Over the last several days, you may have noticed multiple changes popping up: A cool video showing off Black and White's camera. Another Black and White Walkthrough section, courtesy of Frost. A whole bunch of Nintendo Events for Black and White. The newest set, HS Triumphant was released last Wednesday and Frost has added the set to...
A nice midnight update for everyone. First off, thank you all for the feedback on the change in how we're displaying type information in the Psydex. We're currently working on a way to reconcile the ease-of-use of the old system for most Pokemon with the new way's ease-of-use when it comes to more complicated type/ability combos. More on that soon....

Since the previous update, we've been hard at work on various things. There's a Mew Event for HeartGold and SoulSilver that begins tomorrow. The Events List itself was also becoming rather convoluted, so I've rearranged things to be easier to read, and to allow us to establish a catalog of past events as well. It was also pointed out to me that while...
Not to detract from the Corocoro Leaks seen below, but there has been some more news. First off, the semifinals for the GPCT are over, as you should have noticed the ability to vote in the finals - Lance vs. Red. Lance had 8221 votes to Cynthia's 7806. Very close call indeed, and this was the only match in which a character gained a lead and lost it,...
According to an Official Press Release this morning, another WiFi Event is starting this Saturday. Players of PAL and NTSC versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver (that is, North American, European, and Australian versions) will be able to download an Enigma Stone to their games to capture the other half of the Lati@s duo not normally available in game....
Black & White Release, HGSS Videos, Brand New Game[Expand]

Let's start with the news from Japan. First off, Pokemon Black and White now have a concrete release date of September 18th, 2010 in Japan. We couldn't have picked a better date ourselves. We also have some clarification on exactly what Zoroark's Illusion ability will do. When sent into battle, Zoroark will take on the name and sprite of another Pokemon...
After seeing the success of our new News system and how many people are taking advantage of the new ways to share the articles with others, we've expanded the options for sharing. Good morning. Since there haven't been any significant developments in terms of Black and White recently, we've been working on a few other things around the site. For the most part, it's been fixing up little things here and there. Please make use of the forums or the Contact Form to let us know if you spot anything that doesn't seem to be working...
Yet another long list of changes. First off, given all the information on the Pokewalker page, it's only natural that it be included in the Psydex and Techdex. -Locations have been updated to include all the Pokewalker Routes you can find a Pokemon on. -Any new moves those Pokemon know are listed as Gift Moves on the Tutored Moves page. -Similarly,...
And now, back to the regular swing of things. Perhaps the most interesting thing to note is that, starting back on April Fools and going until early May, you can receive a new PokeWalker Route via WiFi! The Yellow Forest is full of special Pikachu with all sorts of moves they wouldn't normally learn. To access the new route, just fire up your Mystery...
With just two weeks left before the North American release of HeartGold and SoulSilver, there's still plenty to discuss. First off, we've posted guides for Legendary Pokemon and for Other Special Pokemon that you can find in HGSS. To go with them, we've also added information on all the Alternate Formes Pokemon can take in HGSS. Next up, you'll find...
As a promotion for the upcoming release of HeartGold and SoulSilver in the US on March 14th, Gamestop is holding a giveaway. Bring in your DS and Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum between January 30th and February 14th to receive a Pikachu-Colored Pichu. What's more, once you pick up HeartGold or SoulSilver, you can transfer this Pichu over and bring it...

Unfortunately, the surprise I mentioned last update has been delayed due to some unforeseen issues on my end. But, I do bring good news related to another previous update. Since there's currently a Shaymin Event running for everyone playing Pokemon Platinum, we've compiled a page to document WiFi Events in Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. This page...

In addition to that, I've also uploaded numerous newer Screenshots for HeartGold and SoulSilver as well as some other concept art for the remakes. Beyond...

As you may recall, in Japan a special Regigigas was given out in order to gain access to the other three Regis in Platinum. The time for the US release has come. I just want to remind all of you that this weekend is full of festivities. Happy Valentine's Day, happy Friday the 13th, and let's not forget the US Shaymin event that's finishing up tomorrow at Toys-R-Us stores. Lastly, at 3:31:30 PST (mere minutes from this post), we reach a milestone in the technological era; your computer will officially know the...
But before I get to those, here's what else I've been working on. Firstly, lingering errors with the moves learned in XD have been ironed out in the Psydex. They SHOULD all be taken care of now. In addition to those errors, there was an error with the Stadium 2 Gym Castle that has also been resolved. And, of course, I fixed up some various typos on...
In all likelihood, this will be the last Platinum update for a while. The magazines that all the recent wave of information came from have all been looked over. Next month, there will be another issue and doubtless more info. So, that being said, here's what I've got for you. I've reformatted and updated the Platinum Section main page. I've also added...
And now in response to my last update, I DO have some news on Platinum. As had been speculated for a while, Shaymin does have an alternate forme, the Sky Forme. The Japanese publication Famitsu Magazine published a nice little two-page spread about Platinum, including some only slightly obstructed Sugimori art of Sky Forme Shaymin. There are a few...

That being said, those of you who check other sites regularly may have noticed that last weekend, a picture of Shaymin's "Sky Forme" exploded onto the internet. For...
Ah summer. Hooray road trips. Maybe I'll even stick pics of my escapades on my Psyblog after I get back. To avoid the inevitable question, I'm making my way to Anime Central. But that's not what you're here for. You wanna know what news I have to post. No site updates at the moment (aside from the standard-issue bug fixes). Those of you living in...

Professor Rowan gives your starters at the beginning of the game, and your starting town is TwinLeaf Town. Furthermore, Chatot's name has been mentioned in the Anime. Since Uni has restarted, I won't update...
