Regigigas in Platinum [permalink]

As you may recall, in Japan a special Regigigas was given out in order to gain access to the other three Regis in Platinum. The time for the US release has come. From March 8th to March 21st, the day before the release of Platinum, bring your DS and a copy of Pearl or Diamond to a participating Toys R Us store to receive the special Regigigas.

Regigigas comes at level 100 in a Cherish Ball. It carries a Custap Berry and knows Iron Head, Rock Slide, Icy Wind, and Crush Grip. It is required to find Regirock, Registeel, and Regice in Platinum; any other Regigigas will not work. More info can be found on the Pokemon Platinum website.

In other site news, as we get closer and closer to the US release of Platinum, I'll be working on tweaks and fixes here and there. Of course, there may also be something else in the works; you'll have to wait until after March 22nd to find out.

HI everyone! :D The Regigigas is awesome. It's very tough with at least 352 HP, and aweosme stats. The attacks also make it a very good Beuaty Contest Pokemon.

As far as I know, the new Platinum Regigigas is only available at Toys R Us, and not at Gamestop. (A real letdown, I know. The upshot is that the event lasts two whole weeks.) I thought it more of a Tough Contest Pokemon, but whatever. As to whether or not he'll be in Canada...I don't know. Possibly in future. I only did 2 Soft Resets for this guy (to get a nature that likes Bitter Poffnis), as opposed to all the other 1.5 hr+ resets I did for Deoxys and Shaymin. Why? This Gigas is at level 100 and can't really be EV trained. But what I will most likely do is trade this guy to Platinum, get the three Regis, get the Snowpoint Temple Regigigas (at level ONE), and EV train that.

I have diamond and pearl, so I got 2 of them. :P I'm trading one of them for my friend's shiny Arceus, cus my white arceus just isn't enough, and he has a bunch of them.
