Crabrawler, Sandygast, Palossand and Stufful Debut![Expand]
Posted by Frost on 19 Aug 2016 at 7:33pm PDT
Pokemon World Champions brought us a new trailer today, immediately after yesterday's reveal of Turtonator. Technically, only one of these Pokemon is new to fans who follow online leaks of Corocoro: Crabrawler (2', 15.4lbs), a Fighting-type crab Pokemon who has boxing gloves for hands and the abilities Hyper Cutter and Iron Fist. The other three new...
Fire/Dragon-type Turtonator was revealed in a Youtube trailer today. It gets Shell Armor as its ability and learns the new move Shell Trap, which sets a trap at the start of a turn and deals massive damage if Turtonator is hit with a physical attack on that turn. Sadly, this was all that revealed in today's video.
Morelull (8", 3.3lbs) is a Grass/Fairy-type who can learn Spore and have Illuminate or Effect Spore for abilities. Wishiwashi is a Water-type fish Pokemon who uses its ability Schooling to change between two forms, Solo (8", 0.7lbs) and School (26'11", 173.3lbs) Forms. Finally, Pyukumuku (1', 2.6lbs) is another new Water-type with a new ability, Innards...

This month's Sun and Moon Youtube promo was uploaded this morning: First up, they drop the bomb that several existing Pokemon will receive new forms based on the environment in which they're found within the Alola region. These include a Grass/Dragon-type Exeggutor (35'9", 916.2lbs) with an extended neck and the Frisk ability; Ice-type Vulpix and...
Another Youtube Video Reveals More Pokemon[Expand]
Posted by Frost on 19 Jul 2016 at 8:58am PDT
This month's "reveal a whole bunch of new Pokemon" contains six new additions, including the two who were revealed about a week ago in this month's Corocoro. Wimpod (1'8", 26.5lbs) is a Bug/Water-type with the Wimp Out ability, which allows wild Pokemon to flee from battle if their health drops below half. Hopefully, if it evolves, it will not randomly...
A new Youtube trailer for Sun and Moon has revealed seven new Pokemon as well as giving information for the previous revealed koala and dog Pokemon from last month's Corocoro: Tapu Koko, a rare Pokemon to have a space in its name, is an Electric/Fairy-type with the new ability Electric Surge (looks like it activates Electric Terrain upon entering...
One week before the release of the game, Pokemon has released a new trailer on their Youtube revealing a whole bunch of stuff featured in this month's Corocoro, including a new character Zinnia, the "Delta Episode" featuring Deoxys, and that a whole bunch of Legendaries will be available in Mirage Spots: Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be released...
Mega Beedrill, Pidgeot, Latias and Latios Officially Confirmed![Expand]
Posted by Frost on 14 Oct 2014 at 9:42am PDT
Pokemon.com updated today with last week's Corocoro leaking, confirming Megas for Beedrill, Pidgeot, Latias and Latios in the upcoming remakes of Ruby and Sapphire. Mega Latias and Latios were known to exist ever since XY were hacked last year, but this is the first time an official source has acknowledged them. Mega Pidgeot retains its original...
Sorry about this late update but we've all been busy with things this week. Mega Audino and Slowbro were accidentally leaked on a foreign official Pokemon site this week, and then got officially revealed soon after, with Junichi Masuda even acknowledging the leaks when he showed the video for Mega Slowbro at Worlds this weekend. Mega Audino becomes...
Sneak Peek of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire[Expand]
Posted by Frost on 10 May 2014 at 4:57pm PDT
Pokemon Get TV (formerly Pokemon Smash) aired a teaser of the new remakes tonight and it was also immediately updated on the official Pokemon Youtube in the west. It's nothing overly exciting, just some shots of Groudon and Kyogre that will probably be used in the opening video of the final games:
Dear RS fans, Here are your Ruby and Sapphire remakes, named Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, set for a November 2014 release on the 2DS and 3DS. Featuring new forms and/or new Mega Evolutions for Kyogre and Groudon as seen on the cover art?
Alright, so this time around we've got a few things. One, I fixed the links in the menu that I'd goofed the first time around. Oops. More importantly, the beginning of the Black and White 2 Walkthrough, kindly written up by Evil Penguin, is now available. More to come on that, obviously. And, to go with it, I've also revived the use of our YouTube...
June 2012 Corocoro Reveals BW2 Information, Dark Explorers Added to Deck Dex[Expand]
Posted by Frost on 11 May 2012 at 9:45am PDT
The cover for June's edition of Corocoro was uploaded onto the internet this morning, and it features new forms of Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus in the bottom left corner. Tornadus now has huge new wings, and Thundurus has a giant new jaw to match... Yikes. On the first two pages, we learn that Cheren has become a Gym Leader in the Unova region,...
The newest TCG set, Next Destinies, came out on Wednesday, and I finally got around to adding the card transcriptions to the Deckdex. The set features the new Pokemon-EX cards (not to be confused with the old Pokemon ex cards from Generation III) as well as the return of pre-Unova Pokemon. If you're interested in seeing the cards, I also recorded a...
Meant to post this the other day, but I guess it can lead off a new update. As is tradition, there will be some Jirachi-themed giveaways in Japan for Tanabata. Cellphone backgrounds and other little freebies will be available. Now that I've actually had a few days to stay in one place, I've also gone and updated our Black and White Videos page with...
In celebration of our new YouTube Channel, I've added a few more videos to it; the battles against the three leaders of Striaton City's Gym. You can still find all our videos of Black and White over on the appropriately named videos page. As you may know, Frost is our resident TCG guy. Over several years of collecting cards, he's gotten a lot...
Community Reshuffling, More on Black and White[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 22 Mar 2011 at 10:58pm PDT
Spring has sprung (at least in the real world - not so much in Black and White). It's always such a busy time of year, isn't it? First off, I was finally able to fix forum registration once again yesterday. The downside is that applying a new theme to the forums takes a really long time, and I'm still not done. So, you'll notice that the forums might...
With Black and White now released in Europe and North America, we've made several changes around the site. Here's an overview. The Psydex has been updated with location data for most Pokemon. There are a few exceptions - some event-only Pokemon and the White Forest are the most notable, and will soon follow. Related, we have the Unova Region World...
Small update tonight. Frost and I have both been very busy with the end of our respective semesters of study. Luckily, there hasn't been all that much in terms of significant news, save for the few English names we've received. It seems a large number of people have subscribed to our YouTube Channel over the last few days. To say thanks, I've uploaded...
The games officially released in Japan less than two hours ago. With that, I am happy to present to you the following two videos of the opening sequences. Once the games actually begin, you're thrown straight into the action; you pick your Pokemon and have two battles before you ever leave your room! You'll barely set foot into the next town before...
Sorry for being a little quiet lately; I'm still settling into my apartment. On to the news. First off, a small scan from the October 2010 Corocoro Special has been leaked via 2ch and Twitter. The scan shows something called Combination Attacks, which can be used in the triple battles. By executing certain attacks in the correct order, there will be...
The official Japanese BW site has updated again with new short teaser clips, as well as a new trailer. The new series of short teaser clips show off a few more battle scenes. One scene also shows the new effect of the Sturdy Ability - a move that would have been a one-hit KO does not knock Gigaiasu out. 3-on-3 battles, including a rotating battle,...

Once loaded, you can click and drag to move around the map, and mouse over certain locations for screenshots. Next up, the Pokemon...

Pokemon Sunday Shows Anime, Black & White Footage, Trailer[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 31 Jul 2010 at 2:01pm PDT
This week on Pokemon Sunday was mostly dedicated to the Searcher BW bus that'll be rolling around Japan. They did, however, show a few important things. First off, there's a trailer for the new anime season Best Wishes. It shows the new female lead and several of the Isshu Region's Pokemon. Next up was some actual Black and White gameplay in the Searcher...
Today's episode of Pokemon Sunday has revealed one "new" Pokemon: Bikutini, the previously unnamed Pokemon who appeared at the end of the Zoroark movie. We refrained from posting screenshots of this Pokemon because it was technically illegal, as cameras aren't allowed in Japanese movie theaters. Now, however, we have its name and appearance on regular...
My apologies for not being able to post this sooner, but there were some technical difficulties earlier this week. I hope this makes up for the tardiness. Pokemon Sunday didn't really give us any new information this last week, but they did show a bunch of video clips. I've put the segments together into one video for you: The episode also mentioned...

Frost has been so busy with all these Black and White updates that I haven't had a chance to get a word in myself. That's OK, though; I've been busy. First off, there are several more videos available on the HeartGold & SoulSilver Videos page. We're on our way in Kanto now. While I'm at it, don't forget that you can check all the preview videos...

We also have some clarification on exactly what Zoroark's Illusion ability will do. When sent into battle, Zoroark will take on the name and sprite of another Pokemon...
After seeing the success of our new News system and how many people are taking advantage of the new ways to share the articles with others, we've expanded the options for sharing. We are partnering up with ZeldaInformer to promote their Pokemon League and encourage all of you to check it out and sign up. For those of you visiting us from ZeldaInformer,...
Yet another long list of changes. First off, given all the information on the Pokewalker page, it's only natural that it be included in the Psydex and Techdex. -Locations have been updated to include all the Pokewalker Routes you can find a Pokemon on. -Any new moves those Pokemon know are listed as Gift Moves on the Tutored Moves page. -Similarly,...
While we wait for some official word on just what those silhouettes actually will look like, we've been hard at work on more HGSS content. Firstly, the Pick Up page has been updated to include what you'll find in HGSS, as it's slightly different from what's found in DPP. Next up, given the information added to the Pokewalker and the Pick Up page above,...
Today on Pokemon Sunday, the silhouettes of the starters for Pokemon Black & White Versions were shown. Little information was actually given, as the announcement came at the very end of the show. The silhouettes were shown twice. The video below shows everything we saw. In other news, there is other news! You'll notice to your right that a...
You'll have to forgive my recent silence - it's finals time. The good news is, I've added two more videos to our YouTube channel - the two Rocket Executive fights from the underground hideout in Mahogany Town.
Moving back to the here and now, we're very happy to announce some more updates to our HeartGold and SoulSilver section. First off, we're thrilled to present an in-depth guide to the Headbutt capture method in these games, including what can be found Pre-National Dex, Post-National Dex, and only in special locations, as well as an exhaustive list of...
And now, back to the regular swing of things. Perhaps the most interesting thing to note is that, starting back on April Fools and going until early May, you can receive a new PokeWalker Route via WiFi! The Yellow Forest is full of special Pikachu with all sorts of moves they wouldn't normally learn. To access the new route, just fire up your Mystery...
It's been a busy week, hasn't it? After the highly successful launch of HeartGold and SoulSilver in North America, there's still so much left to do. We're thrilled to see so many people taking advantage of the HeartGold and SoulSilver Walkthrough for the full 16-badge main quest. We've also compiled a full guide to one of HGSS's new features, the...
We hope you're all enjoying a wonderful new year thusfar! You may have noticed some server instability lately. We're working on isolating the causes and getting that all taken care of. Thankfully, it comes in short bursts so if you wait a few minutes everything should be up and running again. In the meantime, we invite all of you again to make sure...
With the holiday season in full swing, we thought it was only appropriate to give you a few presents a little early. First off, you'll find there's a new page up that showcases some of the Landmarks in HeartGold and SoulSilver. When you enter certain areas, you get a splash screen featuring local scenery and a Pokemon. And, if you've subscribed to...
Just a brief update for today. It's finals season which means that many members of the staff, myself included, are swamped with projects and exams. However, I've still had a few minutes to put together another new video of some HeartGold gameplay. Another Rival battle! That Mareep I picked up not too long ago sure came in handy. If you haven't done...
Due to severe internet issues I've been unable to do what I need to do to update the site. I've worked out a temporary solution though. So, since our last update, Frost has compiled all the information on the new Arceus TCG Set and added all that to the site. Next up, some more Game Maps for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. We've now added Iron Island...
Hello again. As you may have noticed, the site was down for maintenance for quite a while yesterday and early this morning. Our apologies. The reason we were offline was so that IGN could switch us over to a new server that should be much better equipped to run our site and the others hosted on it. The should not only improve site stability (so no...
I hope you've all been enjoying the opening videos I posted below. I'll have some actual gameplay footage to post soon, once school work calms down a bit, so keep an eye out for that. More importantly, thanks to Eevee at veekun for decoding them, we now have all the HeartGold and SoulSilver Pokemon sprites added to the Psydex. These sprites follow...
