Since the previous update, we've been hard at work on various things. There's a Mew Event for HeartGold and SoulSilver that begins tomorrow. The Events List itself was also becoming rather convoluted, so I've rearranged things to be easier to read, and to allow us to establish a catalog of past events as well. It was also pointed out to me that while...
According to an Official Press Release this morning, another WiFi Event is starting this Saturday. Players of PAL and NTSC versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver (that is, North American, European, and Australian versions) will be able to download an Enigma Stone to their games to capture the other half of the Lati@s duo not normally available in game....

Let's start with the news from Japan. First off, Pokemon Black and White now have a concrete release date of September 18th, 2010 in Japan. We couldn't have picked a better date ourselves. We also have some clarification on exactly what Zoroark's Illusion ability will do. When sent into battle, Zoroark will take on the name and sprite of another Pokemon...
After seeing the success of our new News system and how many people are taking advantage of the new ways to share the articles with others, we've expanded the options for sharing. You can now post a link to your Facebook profile via the "Share" button. In addition, I've added an RSS feed to the page. You can subscribe to it via that link, or from the...
If you've been following us on YouTube, you'll already know that I've posted some more videos recently. The newest videos feature the battle against The Kimono Sisters, an incredibly unlucky Summoning & Capture of Ho-oh, and the Victory Road Rival Battle. You can view all those videos on YouTube, or you can see them and all the rest of our HeartGold...

Posted by Jigglypuff on 10 Jun 2010 at 2:30am PDT
Good morning. Since there haven't been any significant developments in terms of Black and White recently, we've been working on a few other things around the site. For the most part, it's been fixing up little things here and there. Please make use of the forums or the Contact Form to let us know if you spot anything that doesn't seem to be working...

So much to do now that summer's underway. Let's start with HeartGold and SoulSilver. Australian players should take note of the Fateful Encounter Jirachi that is now available for all Generation IV games - Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver - from Toys 'R' Us and select Big W retail stores. Since this is a Fateful Encounter, it will...

For games, starting with HGSS we've made a few more additions. First...
While we wait for some official word on just what those silhouettes actually will look like, we've been hard at work on more HGSS content. Firstly, the Pick Up page has been updated to include what you'll find in HGSS, as it's slightly different from what's found in DPP. Next up, given the information added to the Pokewalker and the Pick Up page above,...
Today on Pokemon Sunday, the silhouettes of the starters for Pokemon Black & White Versions were shown. Little information was actually given, as the announcement came at the very end of the show. You'll have to forgive my recent silence - it's finals time. The good news is, I've added two more videos to our YouTube channel - the two Rocket Executive fights from the underground hideout in Mahogany Town.

Up next, we've reclassified the way that you can search for attacks in an Effect Search in the Psydex's Attack Search function. Frost has also written up a Critical Hit Guide to explain how the Critical Hit mechanic works in the various generations of...

Bring in your DS and Diamond, Pearl, or Platinum between January 30th and February 14th to receive a Pikachu-Colored Pichu. What's more, once you pick up HeartGold or SoulSilver, you can transfer this Pichu over and bring it...
We apologize again for the recent downtime issues. Don't worry, they're being sorted out and should be taken care of soon. In spite of the downtime, however, we've been hard at work. HeartGold and SoulSilver Release Confirmed[Expand]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 15 Dec 2009 at 7:50pm PST
After much hopeful speculation of a potential April Fool's Day release of HGSS in the US, we now have official confirmation that the release date is, in fact, March 14th, 2010. And, as long as we're talking release dates, there's another new movie coming out in Japan next July. Roughly translated, it's called Phantom Champion Z.
Just a brief update for today. It's finals season which means that many members of the staff, myself included, are swamped with projects and exams. However, I've still had a few minutes to put together another new video of some HeartGold gameplay. Another Rival battle! That Mareep I picked up not too long ago sure came in handy. If you haven't done...
Due to severe internet issues I've been unable to do what I need to do to update the site. I've worked out a temporary solution though. So, since our last update, Frost has compiled all the information on the new Arceus TCG Set and added all that to the site. Next up, some more Game Maps for Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum. We've now added Iron Island...
Hello again. As you may have noticed, the site was down for maintenance for quite a while yesterday and early this morning. Our apologies. The reason we were offline was so that IGN could switch us over to a new server that should be much better equipped to run our site and the others hosted on it. The should not only improve site stability (so no...

The rest of the Psydex has been updated to include the Locations for all the wild Pokemon in HGSS. As far as content for the games themselves, we've added a list of all the TMs and HMs in HeartGold...
I hope you've all been enjoying the opening videos I posted below. I'll have some actual gameplay footage to post soon, once school work calms down a bit, so keep an eye out for that. Due to new information available, and of course by popular request, I've revamped the HeartGold and SoulSilver FAQs page to better reflect what we currently know about the games due out next month. In addition to that, I've also uploaded numerous newer Screenshots for HeartGold and SoulSilver as well as some other concept art for the remakes. Beyond...
HeartGold, SoulSilver, and Everything Else[Expand]

Like I promised last time I posted an update, stuff happened while I was away on vacation. Most notably, Sugimori Art for all the Pokemon was posted. This includes art for those who had not previously received an update in previous releases. Our thanks to Rhapsody for helping us to get those all processed and ready to go last weekend. Next on the list,...
While I am deeply saddened by the results of the most recent round of Psypoke Idol, the show must go on. ;.; I've once again updated the HeartGold and SoulSilver FAQs Page to reflect some more questions we've been seeing all too often. Remember, everyone, these games are remakes of Gold and Silver; you shouldn't expect anything from those games to...
Hooray for updating right after Frost does. For the moment, at least, the server issues we've been suffering from seem to have been resolved. Thanks again to GameSpy for working hard to get that taken care of. In the mean time, I've gone ahead and updated the HeartGold and SoulSilver FAQ page with some more questions we've been getting, and more new...
My sincerest apologies for the site downtime as of late. We're working on getting that taken care of, and we thank you for your patience. Due to all the downtime, it's been rather difficult to work on the site. It also doesn't help that we all took a nice little vacation this last weekend. However, I have managed to complete a basic FAQ for HeartGold/SoulSilver...
These screenshots are from the episode of Pokemon Sunday that aired in Japan today. The remakes have DPP-style graphics and, for at least a part of the game, it looks like your starter will follow you around. I would assume for the first task where you go to find Mr. Pokemon, although it could be for longer. Also, it looks like we're finally getting...
...that we are excited to bring you the news about the newest Pokemon games, Heart Gold and Soul Silver, which are, according to the Japanese Pokemon website, slated to be released Fall of 2009 in Japan. I'm sure that's what he really meant. ?.?
Pokemon Gold and Silver remakes have been confirmed by the Japanese Pokemon site, with titles that roughly translate to "Pokemon Golden Heart" and "Pokemon Silver Soul". This should come as no surprise to anybody who knows how greedy and lazy Nintendo and Gamefreak are and how much they love to rehash Pokemon games within an inch of their lives. Oh,...
