Format

Preliminary: All 729 Pokemon are randomly assigned a number from 1 to 9.

Round 1: The 729 Pokemon are split into nine groups of 81 using the numbers from the preliminaries. The top 30 Pokemon from each group will advance into Round 2.

Round 2: The 270 advancing Pokemon are split into five groups of 54. The top 20 Pokemon from each group move on to Round 3.

Semi Finals: The 100 remaining Pokemon are split into two groups of 50. The top ten from each group move on to the finals.

Finals: The finalists all compete together, with the highest ranking Pokemon becoming the winners.
