Enigma Stone, Psyfari Zone, and GPCT [permalink]

According to an Official Press Release this morning, another WiFi Event is starting this Saturday. Players of PAL and NTSC versions of HeartGold and SoulSilver (that is, North American, European, and Australian versions) will be able to download an Enigma Stone to their games to capture the other half of the Lati@s duo not normally available in game. Next up, the Psyfari Zone has been updated with 35 new Pokemon, chosen based on the results of a quick poll on our Facebook page and a few random others. There are now 100 total Pokemon you may capture around the site! Lastly, don't forget to vote in the GPCT before the end of the day on Saturday. The format of voting changes after this group ends, so make sure your favorites make it in to the next round!

@Yog PAL and NTSC classically are standards for TV broadcasts. An overly simplified way to look at it is 30 frames per second vs. 50. North America and Japan (as well as some of Latin & South America) use NTSC while most of the rest of the world uses PAL. In most cases media in either format is entirely incompatible with devices designed for the other.

Over the years the terms have been applied to video games as well - NTSC representing games for North American systems and PAL being games for European and Australian systems. Despite Japan using the NTSC standard, they aren't included in the grouping for games due to the language barrier.

Calling them NTSC and PAL (though technically a misnomer) keeps things short and simple as saying "North America, Europe, and Australia" would be overly verbose for the little events list on the side of the main page.

@Trainer1 How To Play Any registered member of the Forums who is logged in while browsing the site is automatically playing! Every time you load a page of the website, there is a random chance that you might encounter a Pokemon on that page! You'll see the Pokemon dance across the screen, and your cursor will change to a Pokeball. Simply click the Pokemon to catch it. It's that simple! Got it?

I tried to get the Enigma Stone on my version of HeartGold, but it said I had too many wonder cards or something like that. The last event I got was Jirachi, but I collected that and don't have anything pending...could someone help me?
