PSYPOKE LIBERRY - POKEMON BERRY GUIDE

Like Gold, Silver and Crystal, berries in Ruby and Sapphire can be used for a variety of things - some heal HP, some heal status ailments, and so on. However their main purpose is for making PokeBlocks that enhance your Pokemon's Cuteness, Smartness, Toughness, Coolness and Beauty for the Pokemon Contests.

Unlike GSC, however, more work is required in obtaining more berries. When you deplete a tree of its berries, it will disappear, allowing you to plant your own. Use the Wailmer Pail from the Pretty Petal Flower Shop to water it every so often, and after half a day or so, your berry will sprout into a new plant. Continue watering it, and the plant will mature and eventually produce its own berries.

Berries have Flavour and Firmness. Flavour determines which Pokemon will like it and which Pokemon will not, and firmness determines the smoothness of the Pokeblock produced from that berry.
