The PokeNav is a new tool in the Ruby and Sapphire games. It has four basic uses. Here is what the Pokemon Navigator screen looks like:
HOENN MAP
In this screen you will see a map of Hoenn. By using the A button, you can zoom to a location and see a brief layout of each town. The B button is cancel. Click here to see a Detailed Map of Hoenn.
CONDITION
Under this option, there are two further purple options.
- Party PKMN
The first option allows you to view your Pokemon's contest attributes: Cool, Beauty, Cute, Smart and Tough.
The green patch in the center will expand accordingly depending on how prominent your Pokemon's attribute is. These attributes are used for the Pokemon contests. Click here to view the Contest Guide
- Search
The second options lets you search through all the Pokemon you have (in your Party and in the PC) to see who ranks highest for that attribute.
TRAINER'S EYES
The third option is the Trainer's Eyes. It keeps a record of all the trainers you have fought in the game. The initial screen shows a list of the trainer's type (eg. Gambler, Poketrainer) and the trainer's name down the right hand side, and on the left hand side it shows their location, the number of trainers fought, and the number of battles you've had.
If there is a little Pokeball symbol flashing to the right of the trainers name, it means that they are willing to battle you again. To battle them again simply find them and talk to them. By pressing A on an individual trainer, it will display again their location and trainer name as well as a small picture of the trainer, their strategy, a description of their Pokemon and their self-introduction.

RIBBONS
The fourth and final option shows you a list of your Pokemon that have won ribbons in a special event. Such events include beating the Champion, and winning contests. By selecting a Pokemon with the A button, you'll reach a screen showing some basic info, and the number of ribbons it's won. Pressing A again will show you how the ribbons were obtained.
