POKEMON EMERALD BATTLE FRONTIER

The Battle Frontier in Pokemon Emerald takes the place of the Battle Tower in Ruby and Sapphire. This island is filled with several battle stadiums offering different styles of competitive battling. You can only access the Battle Frontier once you have beaten the Elite Four. On restarting the game, your Dad will give you a ticket that will enable you to use the SS Tidal to get there.
There are seven main stages for Pokemon battling. Each is led by a trainer known as a Frontier Brain who will challenge you once you successfully win a certain number of times. Beating them will earn you a Silver Symbol or a Gold Symbol.

While the style of battling varies from place to place, a few common rules apply. Firstly, legendary Pokemon are banned (eg, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon). Secondly, regarding Pokemon levels, you can choose from:
- A Lv50 Mode where you will fight lv50 Pokemon as long as the highest levelled Pokemon in your party is 50 or less.
- An Open Level mode where your opponent's Pokemon's levels will match the highest levelled Pokemon in your party. However, your opponent's Pokemon will not be below level 60.
By fighting around the Battle Frontier, you'll earn Battle Points (BP) that you can spend around the island. You can use BP to teach your Pokemon new moves at the Move Tutors, or you can use BP to buy rare dolls for your Secret Base. You can view the amount of BP you have by going to the menu, then selecting your name to bring up your personal profile. The amount of BP you have is displayed on your Trainer Card. Incidently, you can also use this screen to check your success around the Battle Frontier - there's a mini-map, as well as a record of the symbols you have. But by far the coolest thing on this pass is your ability to record your battles and replay them!
