RUBY, SAPPHIRE AND EMERALD SECRET BASE GUIDE

In Ruby and Sapphire, you may have noticed several little black squares in cliff faces all over Hoenn and wondered, what on earth are those? Well they are suitable locations for your Secret Base! Basically it is pretty similar to your room in GSC, where you could put things in it and on its walls.

To build your very own secret base, you will need to talk to the person on Route 111 who is standing next to a big tree. He will give you TM43 - Secret Power. After teaching this to a Pokemon, scout around the world to find a location that you like. You can use Secret Power on indents in walls, by trees that have vines, or by grass bushes. You can change the location of your secret base at any time, but you may only have one secret base at any one time.

Once you have found a suitable base, use Secret Power, and the base will open up. It will then ask you if you want to make this your secret base or not. Choose 'Yes' and you'll go inside. Your PC will be inside and has three options: Decoration, Pack Up and Cancel. If you go into Decoration, it has three more options: Decorate, Put Away and Toss. If you go into Decorate it lists the different types of items: Desk, Chair, Plant, Ornament, Mat, Poster, Doll and Cushion.

Now you will be able to decorate the inside of your secret base! To get these items you will need to visit a few places throughout Hoenn. These are listed below. After buying the items, get them out of your PC in your base, and position them as to where you want them. You may only have 16 items in your secret base. You must also hang pictures on walls, and put certain items on tables or mats.
