- Where are Entei, Suicune and Raikou?
After reaching the new islands, one of the legendary beasts roam around on the map like they do in Gold and Silver. Which one you can find depends on your starter Pokemon; if you chose Charmander, you can find Suicune. If you chose Bulbasaur, you can find Entei. And if you chose Squirtle, you can find Raikou.

- Where are Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres?
Articuno and Zapdos are still in the Seafoam Islands and Power Plant respectively, but Moltres can now be found on One Island's Mt. Ember - All three are still level 50.

- Where is Mewtwo?
Mewtwo is still in the Unknown Dungeon waiting for you. It's still at Level 70, and now learns its final attack at Level 99.

- Does the Mew Glitch still work?
No, Nintendo has removed this glitch to get Mew, as well as things like Missingno., from Fire Red and Leaf Green.

- Can you catch Johto or Hoenn Pokemon?
Considering Ruby and Sapphire has all the Hoenn Pokemon, they're not included in Fire Red and Leaf Green aside from Deoxys and two others (see below). While all of the Kanto Pokemon barring Mew were included, only a handful of the Johto Pokemon were added in these games, all of them only available in the wild once you reach the Sevii Islands. The remaining Johto Pokemon can be captured in Pokemon Colosseum.

- Can you evolve Kanto Pokemon into Non-Kanto Pokemon?
Yes, you can evolve Kanto Pokemon such as Chansey into Non-Kanto Pokemon such as Blissey when you reach the new Islands at the end of the game. This includes Chansey, Golbat, and all the RBY Pokemon that evolved through trades with attached items. However, Eevee will not evolve through happiness into Umbreon or Espeon as Fire Red and Leaf Green do not use a clock system. You need to trade Eevee to Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald or Pokemon XD to evolve it.

- Can you breed Pokemon and get pre-evolutions?
Yes, you can breed Pokemon and get pre-evolutions such as Pichu, Cleffa and Igglybuff when you reach Island 4 toward the end of the game. You can still get an Azurill or a Wynaut in Fire Red/Leaf Green by breeding the appropriate Pokemon with the correct attached items.

- Where are Pokemon like Lapras, Eevee, Kabuto, Omanyte, etc.?
Gift Pokemon such as Lapras and Eevee are still where they always were in Red and Green/Blue, and you still need to choose between Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee as well as the Dome and Helix Fossils. Most of the locations of wild Pokemon have remained mostly unchanged from the original games.

- Why won't my Pokemon evolve?
If your Pokemon evolves into either a GSC or RS Pokemon, then it won't evolve until you receive the National Dex, and fix the Pokemon Network on One Island. To get the National Dex, you must first beat the Elite Four, and catch 60 Pokemon. The go give Professor Oak a visit in Pallet Town and he will give it to you. For more information on fixing the Pokemon Network, check out the Islands Walkthrough.

- Where is the Breeding Center?
The Breeding Center can be found on Island 4. For more information on how to access the Islands, visit out Islands Walkthrough.

- How do I get to Island 8?
You need a Mystery Ticket, which is not given to you in the game itself. You'll probably need to go to a Nintendo Event or use an e-Reader.

- What is on Island 8?
On Island 8, you can find both a level 70 Lugia and a level 70 Ho-oh and capture them.

- How do I get to Island 9?
You need an Aurora Ticket, which is not given to you in the game itself. You'll probably need to go to a Nintendo Event or use an e-Reader.

- What is on Island 9?
On Island 9, you can find Deoxys after solving a puzzle. It is level 30, and it changes form (and stats/moveset) depending on what version you're playing.

MISCELLANEOUS

- Is there Day and Night?
No - the time feature has been removed entirely in Fire Red and Leaf Green. No visible nocturnal setting or any type of clock system is included in these games. Similarly, tides have been removed.

- My PokeRUS won't go away!
That's right, when your Pokemon acquires the PokeRUS, or you've traded a Pokemon with PokeRUS from Ruby or Sapphire, it won't go away in FireRed/LeafGreen. This is because there is no time function to keep track of how long your Pokemon have had PokeRUS! This just means it'll be heaps easier to train your Pokemon in LGFR.

- Where are all the berries?
They're hidden underground. Keep your eyes peeled for very small dark patches in the grass like this:

- Can you make PokeBlocks, create a Secret Base or enter Pokemon Contests?
No. All of these Ruby and Sapphire features have been removed to emulate the original Red and Green games as much as a possible.

- Is Fire Red/Leaf Green compatible with Ruby, Sapphire and Colosseum?
Yes, all five games are fully compatible with each other and you need to complete all five to fill the entire Pokedex (aside from a few certain Legendaries that require the e-Reader or a Nintendo event...). Also, when you trade a Pokemon from FRLG to Ruby and Sapphire, you should receive the National Dex automatically.

- Where can I find all the TMs and HMs?
See the FRLG TMs/HMs guides

- What items can I buy at the Game Corner?
The same items are available in both versions.

- Who/where are the Move Tutors?
You can find them all here: LGFR Move Tutor Guide.

- How do I get a National Dex?
You must beat the Elite Four and have 60 Pokemon in your Pokedex. After talking to Professor Oak and receiving the National Dex, you can travel to islands 4-7.

- What's up with that house on Island 2?
After you rescue the man's daughter from Island 3, you discover that his house is a Games House where you can play mini games. Included with FireRed and LeafGreen is a Wireless Adapter which you can use to play against your friends.

- What are the different Trainer Cards?
You initially start off with the Blue Trainer Card. This is then upgraded to a Green Card when you get the first Trainer Star, for beating the Elite Four. When you get the second Trainer Star, for catching 150 Pokemon, your Trainer Card is upgraded to a Bronze Card. To upgrade it again to a Silver Card, you need to get the third trainer star, for catching 382 Pokemon (this excludes Mew, Celebi, Deoxys and Jirachi). It isn't certain yet how to upgrade to Gold or Platinum Cards, but it is most likely using the Wireless Adapter, Trading with a Friend or Battling with a Friend, or Trading with R/S or Colosseum.
