POKEMON EMERALD GYM LAYOUTS
A few of the gyms have changed in layout from Ruby and Sapphire, most noticeably, the Mossdeep City Gym, which now has teleporter pads instead of propeller tracks. This guide shows all the new layouts, as well as helps you get to the Gym Leader for the trickier gyms.

As in Ruby and Sapphire, your initial scope of vision will be limited, but will increase each time you defeat a trainer.

Find the right cominbation of switches (The thunderbolt symbols on the ground) to clear the path to Wattson.

Follow the numbered pits in numerical order to reach Flannery. The actual gym is shrouded in mist making it difficult to see, but this mist has been removed in the map shown.

Defeating a trainer will open up either one or two doors for you to progress further. Each room focuses on a certain aspect of battle.

Once again, the gym is filled with switch doorways, but the puzzle is not that difficult. Note you may have to go through a set of switch doorways more than once in order to progress.

Take Pad #1 and activate the Green Switch so that it moves the statues and clears the path. Head back through Pad #4 and #3 to the top left room. Play around with the brown and blue switches so that you can access Pad #5, which will eventually lead you to Liza and Tate.

The ice will break sending you to the basement if you step on the same tile twice. Follow the red arrows in order to reach Juan.
