Refactoring and HGSS Integration Updates[permalink]

It's update time again!
First off, we've updated the Happiness Guide with information for HGSS.
Up next, we've reclassified the way that you can search for attacks in an Effect Search in the Psydex's Attack Search function.
Frost has also written up a Critical Hit Guide to explain how the Critical Hit mechanic works in the various generations of the games. The information has also been integrated into the TechDex.
Lastly, we are currently in the process of completely rebuilding the Damage Calculator from the ground up. Soon it will be a more efficient and effective tool, addressing the issues that have been discovered in the current implementation.
I think Rock Smash needs a guide, too. The odds of finding a Pokemon (wherever you are), the odds of finding an item, and what you're likely to find. I imagine that's what's being worked on now?
I've written a guide to the Voltorb Flip game in the forums, in case anyone wants to see a guide for that...
Yes, think you for the Critical Hit guide, Frost. I've been wondering how Critical Hits work for a long time. Now I can get some cheap shots in. I just need a decent Baton Passer with some nice Critical Hit chance. Yes, this will definitely give me the upper-hand.
And Aprijuice! I wonder how that works, too... what recipes are there for getting more stars without eliminating stars in other stats? I'd like to know the mechanics...
i like the critical hits guide, and all the other stuff like the headbutt guide... but i would like to see locations in the items guide and a rock smash guide. even on other sites, there aren't any percentages (not being a traitor, just being informed). and maybe some more stuff for the pokewalker (like tips on maximizing pokemon catches, etc.)
