More HeartGold and SoulSilver Stuff [permalink]

I hope you've all been enjoying the opening videos I posted below. I'll have some actual gameplay footage to post soon, once school work calms down a bit, so keep an eye out for that. More importantly, thanks to Eevee at veekun for decoding them, we now have all the HeartGold and SoulSilver Pokemon sprites added to the Psydex. These sprites follow Generation 4 conventions with alternative sprites for some female Pokemon and two frames of "animation," all of which you'll find in the Psydex. And for the curious, over their debut weekend, HeartGold and SoulSilver managed to sell 1.4 million copies in Japan. Keep an eye here for more updates in the days to come. Whoa! Hold on, where does this English in the battle come from? First when you and your Rival ??? are talking, it's in Japanesse, then, when your battling, it turns to English. What's up with that?
