New Black and White Teasers and Trailers[permalink]

The official Japanese BW site has updated again with new short teaser clips, as well as a new trailer.
The new series of short teaser clips show off a few more battle scenes. One scene also shows the new effect of the Sturdy Ability - a move that would have been a one-hit KO does not knock Gigaiasu out. 3-on-3 battles, including a rotating battle, are shown as well.
Also included are clips of the High Link - the feature that allows you to connect directly into a friend's game. The PokeShifter, which requires a second DS to import your Generation IV Pokemon, is a simple slingshot type game.
The third of the "special trailers" shows the Global Link feature - connectivity to the internet. Using the Global Link, players can capture Pokemon in the Dream World. These Pokemon have some unique properties as well, like new Abilities. The player can also use the Global Link to battle against others all over the world.
To that end, I've begun revising and updating the Black and White section to better reflect what we now know. Connectivity plays a big role in the new games, including both the High Link and the Global Link. Many things have changed since Gen IV, and more will probably be revealed in the coming weeks.
This week's episode of Pokemon Sunday has given us more of the same, including a few scenes not present in the first two videos.
To accsess the dream world do we upload our data to our PC, and then explore using PC? If so, NOOOOO!!!
I cant always shift my security on my wireless router, and I cant always be on the CPU, so if I need berries ( since the dream world is the only place to get them now), i cant get them.
I think this is a pretty cool idea, actually--being able to explore the dream world via your computer. Connecting to wifi with my DS has always been a giant pain, because of security and so forth.
Kind of unfair for some people, though, not everyone can afford the internet or even a computer.
do you know what i think? i think that its going to be a LOT simpler than what you guys are saying. it will be simple, get the cute pink puffball, send a pokemon to the dream world, connect to the internet (just like the gts) and instead of it being on your ds it will show up on the computer. (dont forget 7year olds have to be able to do this.
so let me get this straight. there are officially no pokemon from generations 1-4 in black and white? Because there was definitely a pikachu in that trailer, and i really think i saw some others in previous videos. also i know it's still unconfirmed that the heart-shaped pokemon is related to luvdisc, though it really seems unlikely to me that it is not, but if it is then luvdisc must also be available in some way. i'm aware that pokemon can be transferred from older games through the features of black and white, but this seems simpler to me than that. if anyone understands this better please fill me in.
I dont think you understand what were saying- Somepeople dont have accsess to internet or WIFI.
I am able to accsess my interent with my DS, WHEN i change my security settings on my router,WHICH I CANT DO ALL THE TIME. Even when I can change it, ITS NOT VERY LONG. Where commenting on the ACCESS to the WIFI services, NOT obtaing the neccassry pokemon/items to USE WIFI.

yah i know what you mean GofD. but for the people WHO DO HAVE IT. it will be pretty simple
if this is rly heavily based on wifi i will b very disappointed... i used 2 have it but we had 2 change our router & its no longer a wep protection so i cant get it on my ds lite... plz dont b so heavily weighted on wifi nintendo!!
@dark_charizard15: I can't make heads or tails of this new system, either. These sorts of misunderstandings are to be expected until more information comes out. I think - I'm only guessing - that some parts of the Dream World do not require Internet access, but other parts do.
All of this is really confusing, but I still think chatspeak and caps-lock are even worse. :/
