Pokemon Black and White Trailers - 8 New Pokemon[permalink]
Posted by Jigglypuff on 27 Jun 2010 at 5:08pm PDT
I am happy to present to you two more videos for Pokemon Black and White. The first is a promo video shown yesterday on Pokemon Sunday. The second is a brand new full trailer shown today (June 28th in Japan).
As for who the new Pokemon are, so far we know the following. In the 2-on-2 battle of the first two shots above, you have Ononokusu and Doryuuzu opposing, while Desukaan and Denchura are the player's active Pokemon. Moguryuu is the black Pokemon facing away on the right of the third and fifth shots above. Opposing it in this new 3-on-3 battle are three unnamed Pokemon.
Again, you may wish to view the full Video for a better look of all the features, or the 20+ Screenshots from it for a quick summary.
wow... just wow! This is so cool! Triple battle, More pokemon sprites, and what the heck is with the barrier that changes your character? Anyway, the gym leader showed look ok to me...
These new 5th generation pokemon seems to get better and better. I also hope that routes would be (at least some of them) kinda special in some way, that they would not be like grass and pond and few trainers and trees. Like in Hoenn, where you had almost everything. And in Sinnoh I liked the snowy route (was it 217 or 216...whatever).
3-on-3 battling sounds great. I kinda hope it ends up with a 6-on-6 in the future. About the new Pok?mon, I think they are cool but I hope there will be more new Pok?mon related to the real world like the gorilla or zebra. The 3 foe Pok?mon in the 3-on-3 seems totally fictional, as do the 2 in the double battle, which is cool as long there's still onther animal-like and plant-like Pok?mon to find. I do like the green one though!
i think the black/white/red pokemon opposing in the first pic could be an evo of skuntank, the mummy sarcophicus could be spiritombs evo, and the green thingy looks to me like a manaphy-like legendary
all of the new guys look like legendaries exept for maybe the tomb and the yellow spider thing that we only see from the back (eveloution of ariados?). i want to see sigmori art or whatever its called, before i judge them
i like the fact that they are making a three on three, but does anyone besides me think that they might be pushing that? i mean i dont want to see it be come like 50 vs 50 or something like that you know?
"i think the black/white/red pokemon opposing in the first pic could be an evo of skuntank,"
It's not. It is a mole and it evolves from the smaller mole who is next to the zebra and baboon in the backshot.
"red kyogre, Spiritomb is a Pseudo-Legendary."
No it isn't. The only Pseudo-legendary Pokemon are Dragonite, Tyranitar, Salamence, Metagross and Garchomp.
"yellow spider thing that we only see from the back (eveloution of ariados?). i want to see sigmori art or whatever its called, before i judge them"
It's a tarantula and its type is likely to be part Electric, so it's a no on being related to Ariados. The official artwork is called SUGIMORI art because that is the last name of the guy who does it.
Awesome! 3 x 3 battles! Also, am I the only one who heard the cries of the 3 new starters in the 2nd video? Or had they already been realeased yet? Listen after the "present" opens up. That sarcophogus one scares me.
People, the rock thing is not a Nosepass evolution. Nosepass and Probopass are moai. The rock thing is a general rock/mineral monster. They're not even close.
That 3 on 3 battle is so cool! The first and second series of pokemon were better, I think. The pokemon are looking a lot more like digimon, but they are still pokemon.
i dont like this cuz how the hell r u gunna complete ur pokedex it went from taking 5 months to catching them to 3 years and plus the new pokes look retarded
these pokemon are sucking so far...zorua and zoroark are the only ones that i like...and 3-on-3 is definately pushing it i am not likeing black and white so far

The 3 on 3 battles could be very fun, especially if there is an increase of skills and abilities that support your allied pokemon on the field. For me, it seems like it could be compared to a Final Fantasy battle almost.
I have few qualms with the pokemon so far, and I am especially liking Denchura.
I'm not too excited for this. I mean, 3- on- 3 battles? Seriously? They're changing both the playing style and the art style too much for my taste. They graphics look amazing, though.
this is a bit off topic but in japan there will be an event after the scizor event is based off ashs in the shows and i think the 3 on 3 battles are beast then in another 2 generations i bet there will be 4 on 4 battles because every generation that is an odd number puts in a new battle style generation 1 1 on 1 generation 3 2 on 2 and now generation 5 3 on 3.

@dragon09 ...Thats a really wierd pattern you have there. I'm positive they wouldn't actually plan that, and 3 on 3 is already pushing it... why would they have 4 on 4? That just sounds stupid.
They probably wouldn't bother with 4vs4 and 5vs5 battles considering they don't work nicely with a six-member Pokemon team. Battles that run an entire Pokemon team simultaneously against the opponent's entire team would be their next logical step IMO.
the pokemon personally to me look awesome so far. except for that thing that looks actually like a person, in a black dress thing. that looks straight-up idiotic. and i find the floating fetus gummy bear to be quite amusing. haha.
I think the think that changes your character is the wi-fi stuff. These new pokemon are looking very cool. Hopefully they can replace some of the old holdouts, like Tentacool and Zubat. It is kind of annoying to keep seeing those guys. Oh, Geodude too.
