Fling
As the move description suggests, the user's held item is thrown at the target. The item can no longer be used by the user, unless Recycle is used. The base power of this move varies according to what item the user is holding, and under certain circumstances, an additional effect will occur. The type of Fling, however, is always Dark, and it is always Physical.
The following is a table of all items, grouped by base power. PokeBalls, TMs and Mail cannot be flung, and the move will fail if the user attempts to do so. The move will also fail if the user is not holding any items.

Certain items will also cause a special effect on the target Pokemon when they are flung. The chance of these effects occurring is 100%; that is, the flung item will always cause this effect.
