This tool will calculate the base power and type of Hidden Power given a Pokemon's DVs.

Manual Calculation

Don't know your DVs? No worries. You can still figure out your Hidden Power type by testing it on various Pokemon. This is mainly for FireRed/LeafGreen users who don't have wild Kecleon to test against.

Test your Hidden Power out on a pure Psychic-type like Abra.

It deals regular damage - Click Here

Now test out your Hidden Power on a Normal/Flying-type, like a Pidgey or Taillow.
It's not very effective - your type is Bug
The opposing Pokemon is unaffected - your type is Ghost
It deals regular damage - your type is Dark

Your Hidden Power is now either Psychic or Fighting. At this step, test against a Gastly or a pure Poison-type like Ekans.
It's super effective - your type is Psychic
It's not very effective - your type is Fighting
The opposing Pokemon is unaffected - your type is Fighting

Test your Hidden Power out on a pure Bug-type, like a Caterpie.

It's either Fire, Flying, or Rock now. Test against a pure Fire-type like Vulpix or Growlithe.
It's super effective - your type is Rock
It's not very effective - your type is Fire
It deals regular damage - your type is Flying

Test against a pure Water-type.
It's super effective - your type is Grass
It deals regular damage - your type is Ground

Test your Hidden Power against a Rock/Ground-type, like a Geodude.

The opposing Pokemon is unaffected - your type is Electric

Test your Hidden Power against a Grass-type, like an Oddish or Shroomish.
It's super effective - your type is Ice
It's not very effective - your type is Water
It deals regular damage - your type is Steel

Highest DVs per Type

This table gives you the highest possible DVs that give a 70 base power Hidden Power, and for each possible type.
