Post teams, interesting strategies, levels, etc.
Tell us what version as well, since I'm not sure how the Platinum Elites go.
I've just managed to beat the Diamond Elites with
all between lvs 46-48. Suicide Endeavor on Staraptor was a staple in taking down Cynthia
Any more eccentric teams?

I've beaten them with just Staraptor and Empoleon. Staraptor was level 72 and Empoleon was level 65. (Diamond)
As for the Platinum elites, I got rid of them with Vaporeon (level 55), Manaphy (level 61), Jirachi (level 60) and Porygon-Z (level 58).
Of course, beating the elite four isn't really a matter of strategy. It's just high levels and lots of healing items.

The first time I beat the elite 4 was from pure luck with level 60's (can't really go into detail since it's been so long). Now, for every game I just get, I trade my level 100 legendaries.

: Attract, Toxic, Dizzy Punch, Shadow Ball
: Sunny Day, Petal Dance, Solar Beam, Take Down
: Dark Pulse, Shadow Ball, Psychic, Thunderbolt
: Dark Pulse, Brick Break, Ice Beam, can't remember the last move
: Recover, Muddy Water, Body Slam, Sludge Bomb
: Brine, Hydro Pump, Drill Peck, Flash Cannon
They were all between level 61-63, and it was really easy...I only had to use revives on Lopunny and Cherrim, which was nice.

Lv. 70 Shadow Claw, Flame Wheel, Mach Punch, Solarbeam
I used my other Pokemon as tanks to revive Infernape or heal him if he had low health.

In Diamond Version, I had many trained Pokemon in my PC. I chose each Pokemon according to the type and Pokemon each Elite Member had.
My team was, on the first time before National Dex-
For Aron I took advantage of the fire and flying weakness, so Rapidash and Staraptor were key fighters, and for Drapion I used Empoleon's surf and drill peck until it gave in.
Now, for Bertha she was taken down without difficulty, just used surf with Empoleon and it was over in minutes. Flint, I used Empoleon to take down Rapidash,b ut sunny day was out. I used Empoleon's drill peck on Infernape, but Empoleon fell to it's speed and earthquake/thunderpunch, so Drapion cleaned up Infernape. I decided to withdraw Drapion for Rapidash, and Rapidash's fire blast did the trick on the rest of his team with sunny day.
Finally Lucian. I went total offensive, first with Drapion. Drapion used crunch to bring down everyone excluding Bronzong. I had to use Rapidash to bring Bronzong down once and for all. Cynthia, I used Starpator's endeavor on Garchomp, and then Empoleon finished with drill peck. Lucario got in my way with Aura Sphere, I lost Empoleon then. So Blissey got in there and used thunder and Lucrio was out, then Milotic was out, and Spiritomb already had fallen to Empoleom earlier. Her final choice, Roserade, took down my Blissey, and Rapidash had to finish the match with mega horn.
Phew, that was before national dex after national dex though.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Now, for Pearl I decided to use just one Pokemon:
100 @Leftovers
It took forever to raise it, and it was worth it. That's my story for Pearl.
--------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, in Platinum, it was like Diamond. I had a variety of team members, and I chose carefully.
Aron was brought down easily with the help of Froslass and Magmortar. Drapion was brought to it's knees with Infernape and it's Earthquake attack. Bertha, like Diamond, fell to Empoleon's surf, and Flint the same story. Lucian was a little harder, but Infernape brought down Bronzong, and Torterra and Electivire brought down the rest. Cynthia seemed easier in Platinum, no one fainted for me. Her greatest threat was Garchomp, but Froslass quickly disposed of it with blizzard.
------------------------------------------------------------
Those are my Elite 4 stories for the gems of Generation IV.

Eccentic? How about this? I call it the One-Man-Army.
My lvl 77 bullied the Platinium E4 and Champion. Though technically speaking I had a lvl 77 and lvl 77 in my team...as spectators.
In fact, you don't even need a lvl 77 (I just trained it there cos 77 is a cool number), all you need is a lvl 60+ . Just teach Swords Dance, Earthquake, Dragon claw and Crunch. Not a perfect set for competitive battling, but it's best for the game. Just set up with 1 or 2 Swords Dance and nothing will stand in your way. Believe me it's super easy to get in even 2 Swords Dances against the E4 and Champion.
An alternative is a Dragon Dancing . Works pretty much like Swords Dancing .
Of course, you'll need PP recovery items, one Pokemon would need a lot of PP to fight both the E4 and Champion.

I did a on-eman-army with a Rayquaza. It knew Toxic, Shadow Claw, Outrage, and Ice Beam. It had a focus sash.

I destroyed the E4 in platinum with
Focus Blast Sunny Day Flamethrower Drain Punch
Head Smash Strenght Zen Headbutt Roar
Solarbeam Vine Whip Wring Out Power Whip
Earthquake Ice Fang Guillotine Dig
Charge Beam Surf Sludge Bomb Revenge
Fly Psychic Hyper Beam Air Slash
Rampardos and Crobat beat Aaron.
Most of the time against Bertha my Qwilfish did the job and Carnivine came in.
Rampardos ripped all of Flint's pokemon without a scratch on it.
Lucian was kinda hard but my Crobat and Gliscor did it.
When I battled Cynthia all i used was strategy and brute strength

I think I had a Palkia that did pretty much everything, a Torterra, Lucario, Azelf, Staraptor, and I eventually had to add a Rapidash to beat that Bronzong which was impossible to beat without a fire type but except for my Palkia all of my pokemon were in like the mid 40s to low 50s.

I used Spiritomb Lv. 54, Torterra Lv. 55, Luxray Lv. 56, Gyarados Lv. 54, Staraptor Lv. 54, and Mothim Lv. 82 (unexpectedly from a GTS trade). My main strategy was to devote one or two pokemon to each elite (i.e. Staraptor and Torterra against Aaron, Spiritomb and Luxray (With Crunch) against the last Elite) and go all out against the champion.

Team at the time.
NOTE: Skorupi was @Lv 37 the time with EXP.share.
Aaron - He was taken out by my Flareon
Bertha - Was knocked out by Gastrodon and Torterra
Flint' - Gastrodon and Torterra(earthquake/stone edge) took him out easily, although Torterra got burned.
Lucian - Luxrays crunch took most of them out, Flareon took out Bronzong, and what I found surprising is that my Skorupi killed Espeon!
Cynthia - Luxray took out Spirtomb fast, Lucario was delt with Torterras Earthquake, Garchomp and Togekiss got Gastrodon's Ice Beam, Roserade got destroyed with Flareon, and my Torterra took out the water pkmn(???)
