And Seed Bomb is...?
I don't usually like the Grass starters, and therefore seldom choose them. However, it seems like Nintendo has found a way to make me use the Grass starter this time round. Why? The tortoise is my favourite animal =p
Torterra seems okay enough. I'll probably use the Physical Sweeping set if I were to use it, for its Attack is its strongest stat, it seems.

Oh, I forgot to add links. (Added now) Either way, it's like a physical Energy Ball without the effect.

Well. Since I am using all three Starters in this game (as usual) I am going to need to get used to seeing this beast. It's got got physical stats and will be a beast with earthquake. I can also see it being used as a decent physical wall for Pre-E4. Worth using for atleast a small amount of time.

Dialga: Dragon/Steel. It will be hard to resist Abusing That. Two 2x Weaknesses, 10 0.5 Resistances, 1 0,25 Resistance, and 1 Immunity.
Tell me that is not Unfair. That combined with its 150 Base Sp Atk will make this thing Slap around anything that comes near it.
Palkia: Dragon/Water. 1 Weakness. Also gets the Awesomely sweet Spacial Rend Move. It also has the Awesome 10 Speed Advantage over Dialga, and lets not forget that it also has the Destructive Sp Atk that Dialga has. This Thing will be a beast as well.

Dialga > Palkia
Diaruga > Dialga
Parukia > Palkia
Palkia is an overgrown kingdra.
Dialga is cool - steel/dragon typing affords many resistances/neutrals, including fire, dragon, and ice. Ground and fighting are a problem, but it will tolerate it.
Palkia has a single weakness, but not too many resists - water is all i know from. But, it'll be a pain (I actually prohibit Kingdra on teams i face).

ZOMG, DOUBLE POST!!!!!!!11!!!!!
Quilfish has never done well. Lack of good stats, good movepool, and abundance of weknesses just gave it the following label in my opinion:

[FAIL]

About time it got explosion, though.

Pufferfish are cool, and Qwilfish could have been a cool Pokemon. Pity it lacks an evolution; I think it would do much better with better stats.

I'd say qwilfishs' problem is in special def. Since it has seven resistences, it could come in on the switch and still last a turn or two depending. Also, the endure-salac-flail strategy could work.

It doesnt have 100 or higher in any stat. Which is pretty lame. Its movepool isnt very good either. All in all it's not a very good pokemon.
In fact. The only interesting thing about it is that it's in The Grey Colour Category.

I only like quilfish is because it is like a pufferfish....like the person said 2 or 3 posts above me.....I would also have liked a evolution too....I wonder what it would have been? Bloaom? I'm just making things up in my mind that would be close to Blowfish.....

Swampert, Mudkip's final evo, makes for an interesting combi of Ground/Water. Ice Beam can deal comfortably with its only weakness which is Grass. Better than Whiscash, a Pokemon with similar typing. Good Pokemon overall ;o

i dun liek mudkips, actually, i prefer marshtomps lol
Mudkip's evo line is ugly, honestly, but I do like Swampert's design for some reason (its body style I guess). Works well for me as a Physical Sweeper, better than Quagsire at least. Nice Pokey.

Mudkip is cool. It is my fave Hoenn Starter.
Treecko and Torchic look sort of awkward in their first stage.
(luckily they grow out of this)
However Mudkip is just the opposite.
I like it best in its littlest form.
lol and it has a rader fin on its head .
Gotta love the cute little thing

so i herd u liek mudkips :B
Mudkip is so cute. And swampert is the best starter out of all of them (well, maybe tied with empoleon and harizard, but its top 3). The little orange things on the side look like pacifires (sp?) , like its a tiny baby.
I love

Mudkips == yay.
Mudkip is actually a good starter Pokemon, and Swampert is cool too. I really don't have much else to say about Mudkip.

I think I'm not the only person who thinks that Magnezone looks like a random electrical appliance, but poor design aside, I think Magnezone can be a pretty decent Pokemon, simply based on the fact that I have used Magneton before and it has worked pretty well for me.

Magnezone reminds me of that episode in Jimmy Neutron where he uses the brain drain helmets - he shows plates levitating...
Anyway, its about time that magnezone gets the levitate ability - the 4x weakness to Earthquake and Landpower really killed it (it used to fear dugtrio and HP Ground skarmory - no more). And it actually has 4 good moves.
T-bolt
HP Fire
Flash Cannon
Magnet Rise (I have a question - does it have both magnet pull and levitate, or does the levitate temporarily replace it?)
Explosion (not special, but a 500 power move packs a punch)
Tri-Attack (freeze, anyone)
Swift (lol, double-teamers)
Refresh (high tanky)
Barrier (super high defense shoots higher!)
Light Screen (lol, HP Fire + Land power)
Mirror Coat (lol, HP Fire and Land power
ChestoRest + Recycle
Thats it, though. Still better, at least. And, is still a menace to steels.

Aqua ring isn't that good. If you are going to make your milotic a tank, make it a toxi-tank.

Jumpluff - pretty cool.
Subseed
Encore
SwordsDance
Aerial ace
razor leaf
it needs a fire move though, or its walled by most steels, and you know.
Attack stats aren't the best, but it really is an awesome sub-seeder. Sunny day chlorophyll for speed, substitute to block status, leech seed for damage, encore because it annoys, and hp flying/aerial ace/hp ice to get rid pf grasses (they aren't hit by leech seed).
Oh, and the bump was cool - i love the different bump messages.
