That's right, we've planned an official Psypoke Trivia for Saturday 1st July at 8pm EST. All reguar rules will apply and of course Trainer Card ribbons will be up for grabs. There will be some spot prizes in the form of Psybucks as well, but I am not going to reveal them until after the trivia!
When is it?
July 1, 5pm PST
July 1, 6pm MST
July 1, 7pm CST
July 1, 8pm EST
July 1, 9pm Brazil
July 2, 1am London
July 2, 8am Singapore
July 2, 8am Perth
July 2, 10am Sydney
July 2, 12noon Auckland
How to get there
Trivia will be held on the Chats server in the #PsypokeTrivia channel.
To get there, use the java applet found here, and part #psypoke and join #psypoketrivia.
You could also use a IRC chat program and connect to the DarkMyst server (irc.darkmyst.org port 6667) and join #psypoketrivia.
If you are having troubles, please ask inside the #Psypoke chat room.
Trivia rules
1. We usually have a big turnout in trivia, so it is necessary to moderate the room. The operators of the channel may set mode +m in-between questions and this reduces lag. You will not be able to talk during this time.
2. When I say "Ready", this indicates that the question is going to be displayed soon. Please do not reply "Yes" or something equally as lame
3. You may guess as many times as you wish, unless the question states otherwise
4. The host's decisions are final and if you really want to complain, type the following: /msg Sneaky_Sneasel COMPLAINT: Your complaint here
Although your answer may appear on your screen first, it takes time for binary digits to travel over the Internet to New Zealand. I will award the point based on who appears on my screen first.
5. I will not be releasing the topic breakdown this trivia, but expect a wide variety of questions!
Other questions
1. How do I get there???
Read above.
2. My timezone isn't on there
I'm incredibly sorry.
3. It's too late/early for me!
The time was picked to best suit the general population. We can't all have our way. If you're that desperate to attend, sleep in or take a nap to offset your sleep schedule for a day.
4. Is it going to be Pokemon questions or general knowledge?
Pokemon.
5. Is use of the Psydex, Walkthroughs, or other help guides allowed?
By the time you find the right guide, click, scroll to read, the correct trivia answer will have been given. And for the record, the answer to your question is "no".
6. Does typing matter?
As long as I can make out the words. "Pikacuh" would be fine since it's clear that you actually mean "Pikachu". Trying to pass off something like "Paiowkfgn" as Pikachu will not work.
Edited (NField/21 Jun 2006): Added a question.

Oh, well too bad that I can't participate in it...I am not allowed on Chats nor download anything.
Plus, I'll be at my best friend's B-day Party. Well, good luck to everyone who takes part!

Yes, you may still take part if you don't show up at the beginning. Even if you were to show up immediately before the last question, you would still be able to try to answer it.

Trivia wrapup
Thanks to all who played! There wasn't as big a turnout, but there was a very even distribution of scores:

It's a shame I couldn't attend this time. I was really looking forward to it.
Oh well, there's always next time. Congrats darkmind.

I completely forgot about it, showed up about halfway through and then got kicked off of the computer. Oh well. Maybe I'll show up next year.

4 points for my first trivia in what, 3 years? Not bad.. two of them were from actual questions too, not just the minute madness.
It took a long time to actually get back into the whole trivia feel though.. I'll have to make sure I attend next year.

...and you'd better make sure you use your forum name next year too, Jiggz
Anyway, the Trainer Card ribbons will be awarded soon.

Does that mean if I had entered, I could've got ONE WHOLE POINT!?
Wow...Less competitors equals more points for the rest of us. Unless of course, you have super-speedy mega Broadband Eight Trillion to get the questions quicker than everyone else.
Did Krisp get any?

Yeah, I only got three points, and I didn't answer minute madness. >_>
In addition to the 3 points and not winning anything for it, I did get 50 psybucks for winning the "worst answer" spot prize. I don't know why I answered with that, I guess I read the question wrong. ._.

Update; Trivia Participation Ribbons have been awarded to marowaker, Deathseeker and Mega_Horn. Take note that the Participation Ribbon is awarded only if you had gained a minimum of one point. If you're not one of the above three members, but had scored points, you either already have the Ribbon on your Trainer Card, or you do not have an entry in the Trainer Card registry. If you fall into the second category, and wish to get the Ribbon, kindly send in a new request for a Trainer Card, and the Ribbon will be added accordingly.
For more queries, please post them in the Trainer Card request thread, not here (and not via PM either).

There is no set interval for trivia. We call it "anual" because it usually takes around a year of "you know, we ought to do another trivia" before we actually, you know, do another trivia.

the first typo was suppose to be "Clefairy", the second was suppose to be "Trio Trio Trio", and the third was "Heracross."
Also, you're a bit late, since trivia ended over a month ago.
