I was just skimming through a Nintendo Guide to FireRed/LeafGreen, and in the Braille guide it says, and I quote:
'If you look closely and pay attention, you might even see Braille in your home town!'
Does anyone know anything about this

Sounds interesting. Have you looked for it yet or does the guide say where it is?

The guide doesn't say where to find it, but I have tried looking. There doesn't seem to be any in the obvious places.

Is this an official guide? I pretty much doubt that there'd be something there though.

This is the Nintendo pocket book, about 10.5cm by 10.5cm, which came in the box with the game pak. You might have a different one. My American version of it doesn't say anything about Braille.

If it says that you have to look closely and pay attention, then it might have something to do with the arrangement of furniture, buildings, signs, flowers, etc.

2 things.
1) Please dont double post (posting two times without someone posting in between) , it is frowned upon but seeing as you're relatively new..
2) Usually unless it has the Nintendo Seal of Quality-blah-blah-blah, these are fake (but things such as Prima Strategy Guides are official most of the time) . Maybe I overlooked something, I searched myself personally.

This is an official guide, as it came in the box with the game! I have looked hard, but I can't find anything that might be Braille. I guess we shouldn't get to hecked up about it, it probably doesn't have any bearing on the game.

Oh, because my intruction booklet says:
"blah blah blah- it could be Braille."
I know this is true in R/S/E, no clue about FR/LG. As for now, dont get in a tizzy. Like you said.

Have you guys ever thought that it meant real-life hometowns?

I really doubt that it means in your hometown. Although I bet lots of people (if they look hard enough) could find it in their hometown. That's an interesting idea .

They probably don't mean braille messages, just the alighnment(sp?) of buildings flowers, ect. It's probably a message from the programers, game programers do that alot. Most likely not important to the game.

You never know. I thought that all the braille with the jems was pure junk. If you need to see it at home, just look at a public bathroom sign. They all have braille underneath the letters. I'll look around Pallet town though; I'm interested if it's true...

I've searched Pallet, but I can't find anything. Don't get your hopes up. Even if there is a message, it's not important, most likely.

I only brought up the topic because it's fun to wonder about. But, as before, it's not important! Nintendo probably just put 1 letter of Braille in there, just to keep us occupied. I've been searching for a while, and thus far have found nothing that looks remotely like Braille
