Level up Mankey or use Nidorans; their movesets had been changed so as to help people clear Brock in Yellow. Mankey learns Low Kick at level 9, only in Pokemon Yellow, which is super effective against Brock's Pokemon. Both Nidoran genders can learn Double Kick at Level 12 as well.
Also, I find that Butterfrees at Level 11 or so are pretty good with Brock's Pokemon, by using Confusion.
Of course, you can use a stategy I used back when I was playing Yellow for the first time; use Pidgey and Sand Attack for several turns, until the opponent starts to miss practically everything. Then use lousy moves like Tackle and Scratch until the opponent faints. Well, this requires real patience, but it did work for me before

Thanks Snow.

Mankey....
Catch a Nidoran M and train it to L12.
It'll learn double kick.
Fighting moves are also effective to rock types.

I either caught a Caterpie raised it to a Butterfree with the attack Confusion or I used my Charmeleon's Ember. That worked too.

Strange, I am under the impression that Crosman has received sufficient help already.
Low Kick and Double Kick are still the best, simply because they are super effective. Ember is not effective, whereas Confusion is only normal effective.

You could use the long way in which Pidgey Sand Attacks and Pikachu Tail Whips before killing, or just use the other methods given.

For the Geodude, bring out Pidgey and use Sand-Attack until his accuracy cannot go down further. Now Tackle/Gust/Whatever him until he goes down.
When he brings out that Onix, bring whoever is your strongest pok

snowball is right. i raised my caterpie until it evolved into butterfree and learned confusion, this made brock quite easy to beat.

I believe the Butefree startagy is because of Onix's low special??

Yeah, you're right. It takes a maximum of three Confusions to get rid of the Onix, using a level 10 Butterfree. Still, a Mankey's your best bet, and don't try my first-time-playing-pokemon strategy of Sand Attack+Tackle+Scratch unless you have a lot of patience.
Seriously though, I reckon Crosman is already at the Elite Four by now, so there isn't a need to give more suggestions.

....what i like to use is a Butterfree with Confusion and Sleep or Stun powder.....does the trick quite nicely, and usually i have to use only the one Pokemon!
My usual team, this early in the game,is:
Pikachu-my all around kid
Spearow-for the Peck, and later the awesome Drill Peck for the Ghost/Psy types
Butterfree- for ease in catching new creatures
...and as soon as i can, depending on what colour game i am playing (only have Yellow and Blue,Silver,Gold and LeafGreen,of the GB games)i snag a Sandshrew and an Abra as soon as i can. I usually have a fire type,if not a Charazard, a Vulpix if nothing else.
(...love these tiny gifs!<G>)
