Pidgeot is your best bet.

Don't use pidgeot use dodrio. Assuming that you will be using only flying/normal (physical0 attacks, dodrio has more speed and attack than pidgeot, which has more defense and spec defense (The above is all assuming that u are gonna use it as a physical sweeper)

I personally think that Pidgeot, Dodrio, Skarmory, and Fearow (yes, Fearow) are very nice. Fearow, I have more of a natural affinity for, but the others pretty much prove themselves in terms of "bird" pokemon...

I prefer Pidgeot to both Fearow and Dodrio. My play is much more defensive - I like to take my time and draw out a sure victory instead of playing aggressive and relying on chances or lucky hits. The longer my boys stay in the game, the more likely a move's critical hit or status effect is to pan out.

i would choose Pidgeot, Skarmory, and Fearow since those are pretty easy to train. There are other flying type pokemon u choose from, u can always check up all the flying type pokemon and see which one u like.

I personally use Articuno, though it is kind of uber, but not Ky0ber uber. The only reason why I use it is because I can (battle tower and stuff) and I like it (cheap and strong). Though Zapdos and Moltres are also pretty good if you have a snappy moveset for them.
In conclusion, most of the 'bird' pokemon are pretty useless unless you are talking about uno, dos, tres. Though the best non uber one is Skarmory.

Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres kinda go without saying. Besides, you forget that not everyone here is going to a tournament or something. they're just playing with friends, they don't need to be bothered with all this tiering crap.

if you ever get the chance to trade with ruby/sapphire , make sure you get Tropius because then i would say that is ure best bet as instead of having a grass and flying pokemon, why not combine the two and get a pokemon with high defence and high attack which can use strong moves like solarbeam and then be able to use fly???????? then u have room in ure team for a great pokemon such as gengar............. or something better
