I was just wondering, have anyone even bothered switching from GBA to the SP?? I haven't. Its a waste of money.

Well, both of them each have their own special advantages.
GBA
Headphone jack
Good use as a controller for the Game Cube
E-Reader only works on GBA, and not on SP
SP
Small and sleek
Good control (better than GBA I think)
Light!
A battery charger
Can fold up, which is good to put in your pocket, and it protects the screen
I have a battery charger for GBA, but it's not that good.
I chose the SP though. It's just that much better.

I like the SP, but it doesn't have a headphone jack. And you can't use an E-Reader with the SP, but I still think the SP is better. After about a year, you buy so many batteries you could've bought an SP instead!

What are you talking about. I have an SP and I can use the E-READER just fine.

The only reason i would say gba is because it fits my hands better.

I say sp because it's better to have a light when your playing.

Gameboy Advance Sp. Much lighter to carry and better control. Even comes in a shade of pink I like

SP. It looks cool and it neatly fits into your pocket. Not only that but it's almost a perfect square - which I like. The light makes it much easier to play, I don't have to face the window all the time.

I like GBA because it has a wide-kind of handheldness whereas the SP is thinner-hand (if you get what I mean) BUT! The SP has a light...that says it all........When the darkness comes, pull out your SP

i say the sp, considering you can just buy a light and an a/c cord you can have the same features (except lightness and compactness) for a lot cheaper... is the screen on sp the same as gba? never checked

um, sorry to correct, but the E-Reader DOES work on SP. I have an SP and E-Reader, and it works for me.

I came in late to Advance series, so I bought SP right away, I remembered my previous GBC, and how many of my friends had marks all over the screen (I tried to protect it for scratches), then I liked the idea of Flip Top. It even takes less room. And recharable batteries was a lifesaver! Previously, you didn't pay for the GameBoy, you paid for the tens and thousands of batteries..

SP hands down, because of its clam shell form factor you can protect the screen and not have to play with tons of scratches on the screen. The built in light and the rechargable battery is so usefull. Beats any third party aftermarket light and out performs it too. I was going to get the 'afterburner' lights for my GBA but the SP was on its way.
My only gripe is that i have big hands and it could get annoying when i have to use the trigger buttons alot.

SP all the way, money was an issue but when the fat man came it wasn't any more. I however, would not have bought it with my own money.

I got my GBA when it first came out, and I've taken good care of it since. I see no big reason to spend my precious money on a new Game Boy when the one I have still works as well as the day I bought it. Batteries aren't a problem either, I've got rechargeable battery packs and A/C adapters. And I perfer the feel of the older version. The SP just doesn't feel right. Although I do have to admit, the SP is realy cool.

I have because I like the fact that they have a light. And their shape helps a little bit with the screen.

SP. I've tried my friend's GBA and it's not that good really. the backlight is good for playing secretly at night (teehee) and I've got a nice cover and charger for it.

Because we want to know what factor made you choose the SP over the other one, was it price, was it availability, etc...
Your opinion counts.
