There is rating threads for all the Pokémon games on psypokes, but not one for the tcg. So I decided to make one. Feel free to post your deck and let other people rate your deck or suggest other cards to put in. Make sure your deck is from the new series e.g. Black & White, Next Destinies, Plasma Freeze etc. My deck(at the moment): Pokémon(12): 4 - Squirtle 3 - Blastoise 3 - Keldeo EX 1 - Black Kyurem EX 1 - Keldeo Supporter(14): 4 - Professor Juniper 4 - Skyla 3 - N 2 - Bianca 1 - Colress Stadium(2): 2 - Tropical Beach Trainer(18): 4 - Rare Candy 4 - Ultra Ball 4 - Energy Retrieval 3 - Pokémon Catcher 1 - Heavy Ball 1 - Super Rod 1 - Computer Search Energy(14): 11 - Basic Water 3 - Basic Lightning Hope you all enjoy using this thread

Have you considered Superior Energy Retrieval at all? I know it's sometimes considered in Blastoise decks to get even more Energy back, and gets rid of Rare Candies/Squirtles/Blastoises you no longer need. I'm not sure why you are running 3 Catcher, but I assume that's a personal preference. Also, Blastoise/Keldeo decks nowadays tend to run 2 BKEX, not just 1.
And this is just me asking out of curiosity; how did you get a hold of 2 Tropical Beach?

Good idea I'll do that, once I get superior energy retrieval. Also I got the two tropical beaches off my cousins, I had to trade a lot of cards for them but it was worth it. This is very embarrassing but what does BKEX mean? You seem like a Pokémon TCG master, so what is your deck at the moment?

BKEX Black Kyurem E X It obviously isn't Burger King EX, though that would be cool. Quote: You seem like a Pokémon TCG master, so what is your deck at the moment? Ray-Eels. One of the riskiest decks to play in this format, but the payout is worth it. One-shots everything.

I'm using an Eels deck:
Pokémon(20): 1 - ZekromEX 1 - Zekrom 1 - MewtwoEX 1 - KeldeoEx 4 - 4 - 2 - Eelektrik 2 - 2 - Lanturn 1 - Rotom 1 - Druddigon (NV)
Supporter (11): 1 - Colress (FA) 2 - N 1 - Professor Juniper 2 - Cheren 3 - Bianca 2 - Cilan
Trainer (12): 1 - HTL 1 - Level Ball 1 - Super Rod 1 - Eviolite 1 - Potion 2 - Great Ball 2 - Escape Rope 3 - Switch
Energy (17): 1 - DCE 2 - Blend (DGPF) 14 - Lightning
It's not finished yet. I'm continually adding new/better cards to it as I get them, which isn't very often. I've only used it against my little brothers' decks, but I hope to use it in a tournament at some stage.

~Be very careful about using Zekrom EX. It is incredibly clunky and it is 2 easy prizes for Landorus, who already gives this deck trouble. ~I don't know what Lanturn and Rotom you're talking about. I assume the Rotom is the Plasma one, though (Electribonus). I would trim those and focus on another attacker, like Zekrom, Mewtwo, Tornadus EX (not Therian), or Bouffalant DRX, which is superior to Druddigon. ~Scrap your Blends entirely. You will not need them. (You're not even using the right kind of Blend anyway.) Use 3 DCE. ~No one runs Eelektross. You might want to run 1 NVI Eelektross, maaaaaaaaybe, but odds are you won't need it. Ever. ~3 Juniper. Minimum. This is Eels. You don't need Cheren either. Cilan, eh, maybe. You probably want a Skyla or 2 as well. ~3 Level Ball, minimum. You may even want to run Emolga DRX, since you want Eelektriks out ASAP. ~Consider also putting in a Float Stone for Keldeo, and Eviolites for Zekrom/Bouffalant. ~Tool Scrapper is advised. That way you have a response to Garbodor. ~Ultra Ball > Great Ball. Energies in the discard faster, and it guarantees you get something. Your Ace Spec should be either Computer Search or Dowsing Machine. The former is recommended. However, if you want to be really annoying, you can use Gold Potion. ~I assume you're using Escape Rope because you have no Catcher. That is fine, for now. Your Switch count of 3 is also fine.

That's not a deck. That's a list of 7 cards. And if it's a typo'd Torkoal card, odds are it's a fake.

Wait don't you need Wartortle if you put Squirtle and Blastoise in a deck? Also I know I haven't been into the TCG in a LONG time but I thought it was recommended to have 20-24 Energy Cards in a deck.

Recommended deck ratio count: 15 Pokemon, 30 Trainers, 15 Energy. You should never need more than 15 Energy. Quote: Wait don't you need Wartortle if you put Squirtle and Blastoise in a deck? Rare Candy, bro.

@DNA: thanks for all the advice. Unfortunately, I don't know if I'll be able to get all the cards you recommended. DNA wrote: ~Be very careful about using Zekrom EX. Elictribonus is good for discarding Lightning energies as I don't have many other ways of discarding them. The Lanturn can do 90 damage at the cost of discarding a Lightning energy (its other attack gets a bonus from Special energies). And believe me, I would replace them if I had better cards. DNA wrote: ~Scrap your Blends entirely. You will not need them. (You're not even using the right kind of Blend anyway.) Use 3 DCE. I know. I'm thinking of buying some cards, but Catcher is a bit dear for one card. As for everything else, it's a case of not having any better cards.

Quote: All the more reason to have Keldeo. If you can actually get 2 Blend WLFMs on it, go for it. Keldeo is rarely used to attack in Eel decks, though. Quote: My reasoning behind it was to use Mewtwo's Psydrive Never use Psydrive; it's pointless if you aren't running Quad-Sigilyph As for E-M, I am not sure of the synergy of your deck. I see a bunch of things that can use Fire (and some Water) Energy, but I don't see any Emboar or Blastoise. I'm not sure what else I can say other than it's a deck made out of the cards you have.

@EM: I'm not really a Pokémon TCG master but here is what I think you should do: 1. Put in Balstoise or Emboar with rare candies to evolve Squirtle or Tepig. 2. Get more supporters such as Professor Juniper, Skyla and N. 3.Put in another Keldeo EX and Victini Ex.
@Dragoboy: DNA said everything I would of said and more, so there's nothing I can say to help you at the momment.
If there's anything else I can think of to improve your decks, I'll post it straight away.

This is the deck i run on PTCGO and i have gotten all these cards from the free packs as can't afford to buy the cards in rl
Deck list: 2x Cresselia EX [Full Art] 1x Serperior (Black & White) [Royal Heal] 2x Servine (Boundaries Crossed) 2x Snivy (Boundaries Crossed) 2x Shaymin (Boundaries Crossed) 2x Nincada (Dragons Exalted) 1x Ninjask (Dragons Exalted) 1x Sigilyph (Dragons Exalted) 1x Audino (Boundaries Crossed) 2x Skyarrow Bridge 2x Level Ball 1x Ultra Ball 2x Switch 2x Energy Retrieval 1x Rare Candy 1x Super Rod 1x Tool Scrapper 4x Pokemon Catcher 1x Gold Potion 2x Eviolite 1x Rescue Scarf 1x Silver Mirror 1x Float Stone 1x Skyla 2x Caitlin 2x Colress 3x Juniper 3x N 2x DC Energy 2x Blend Energy GFPD 6x Grass Energy 3x Psychic
I would like to get Virizion EX eventually and replace Audino
Stratergy: Shaymin - The ideal starter with Call for Family for 1 colourless energy. Cresselia + Eviolite - reduce damage took and then heals 40 with its ability and Serperiors. When powered up removes weakness to Psychic. Ninjask + Skyarrow - Early attacker with only needing 1 Grass and 1 Colourless to do 60 and then retreat to something that can take a hit (normally Cresselia but Sigilyph for EX's and Plasma if Silver Mirror Attached) as it only has 60HP then thanks to Skyarrow all my basics have free retreat to keep switching and attacking. Attach Rescue Scarf incase catchered. Can also OHKO Suicune.
Virizion would fit in to prevent Status Conditions and some energy acceleration
Disclaimer: I know this aint no top tier deck but this is probably the best deck strategy i can play and i can give a reason to pretty much all the cards to why they are chosen. This deck has a 90% win record in Novice from about 270 games. This deck is also fine for the current format.

So if you get 6 on there BOOM 180 damage then it has 0 retreat cost. I know a bit late to say now with Dynamotor Eelktrik gone out of the format
