Which is the most useful bug pokemon in your opinion?
I think generally bug pokemon are not as useful as other types.

You forgot...
Ariados
Armaldo
Forretress
Heracross
Illumise
Ledian
Masquerain
Ninjask
Parasect
Pinsir
Scyther/Scizor
Shedinja
Shuckle
Venomoth
Volbeat
Yanma
And those are just the final evolutions of each one...not including Scyther of course.

Yes, but Butterfree is liable to 3 of the most common attacks in the game: Flamethrower, Ice Beam, and Thunderbolt. But on the upside, it is resistent to Earthquake, which is practically a godsend, seeing that over 125 Pokemon can learn it.

I've added loads of options in the poll. Too bad there's a limit on the number of options and I have to group many of the Pokemon together
Anyway, my vote goes out to . Other Bug Pokemon that I like are and .

SHUCKLE IS A BUG?!?!? I always thought he was Normal.
I vote for . Can thrashall other bug types. And he's even better than his evolution.

{pinsir} Owns. I prefer it over becuase it has higher defense and is not weak to Flying 4x.

is by far the single most useful bug, it can learn a good variety of move, virtually identical to the ones Butterfree can learn, except it learns Psychic by level up, it is Bug/Poison rather than Bug/Flying & it has way higher stats.
Venomoth can be relativly fast & with its high special it can really make good use of its Psychic attack, plus with the added bonus of Sleep Powder where can you go wrong? I only have one complaint... Shield Dust is useless, but a little skill swap soon fixes that.
And if you think bug Pok

all the way....
He's only true problem is to deal with Fire types, he has no other weaknesses. He is immune to Poison, 2x resistant to Normal, Ice, Psychic, Bug, Ghost, Dragon and Dark, and 4x resistant to Grass.
Unfortunately, he has very bad stats, the only capacities reliable are his Attack and Defense. Slash, Metal Claw and Iron Defense are good catches, its no use to teach him Special Attacks.
Anyway, I just love Scizor, he is a freaking bad-ass, and I like this kind of behaviour (in a pok

I made a formidable Bug team once.. I think it was
Forretress
Armaldo
Shedinja
Ninjask
Heracross
Illumise
They're not all that bad...

Scizor looks great, but I much prefer its prevolution. To me speed is very important, & I'd rather have the edge in speed than in... well, everything else.
Forretress... I always forget that that thing is a Bug. Whoop! I can have an exploding bug.
The only Bugs i really dislike are Heracross, because I hate fighting things, even if they are Bugs & have Megahorn. The other two are Illumise & Volbeat, simply because they look fReAkIsH.
If I were to have a bug team it would look more like:
Have you ever noticed that the game producers just blatantly refuse to have a Bug/Psychic type? Its really annoying, , & could all do with being Bug/Psychic to boost all their Psychic attacks rather than their nonexistant Poison attacks with low Attack stats.

There's also the annoying fact that some are still hit by Earthquake. Like Dustox and Beedrill...

I voted for Beautifly, since I had a decent one in RS, and it learns alot of Moves.
Surprisingly Forretress is a great pokemon, other than the Weakness to Fire, it's a good pokemon, it works good as an annoyer, I recently got one in GSC,
@ Leftovers
Sandstorm
Spikes
Toxic
Explosion
It works great, I have it paired with a Rock/Ground/Steel Team, so Sandstorm works good.
The Idea of this one is to set Spikes, then Toxic them, followed up with Sandstorm, Explosion when you think a Flamethrower is coming.
GSC Standard really.

BLASPHEMY BLASPHEMY!!! BAN HIM!!!!!!
Useful? Jask, what isnt useful about bpassing speed boosts and swords dances
Other very, very successful and useful bugs include but may not be limited to: scizor, scyther, pinsir, armaldo, venomoth, yanma, shuckle, heracross, masquerain, forretress, and, on occasion, shedinja..
i guess after my yanma swept away half your team you've seen the light
no matter, my Netbattle Bug Team would rip this one to pieces

Well, what's so special about a bug-type pokemon learning aerial ace?

Johto bugs rock!
It's a tie between Ariados and Ledian. Lucky for me they are in the same option, so that's what I voted for.
EDIT: Why am I the only one to vote for them!?!
