Hey! Now, I know "Reshiram or Zekrom?" worked out nicely, so I thought it would be cool to make one for a different region! So, yeah. Discuss which DP mascot you think is better here. Plus, I added a poll! Yay! For me, I like more, just because I have Diamond. These aren't my favorite mascots, lol.

Haha yeah, Steel is a pretty decent type. It's always better as a duel type, rather than just Steel.

I definately like Dialga better, for three reasons. 1, he looks a lot cooler than Palkia. I just find Dialga more awe-inspiring. 2, Dialga is a lot stronger. I own both Dialga and Palkia on my Diamond, and I know from much experience that Dialga is the better fighter. 3, a Steel-Dragon type has a lot fewer weaknesses than a Water-Dragon. So, yeah, in my opinion, Dialga is better in every way than Palkia.

I must agree with dailgatime in all reasons. But I prefer the signature move of Palkia.

Good points. Now I have an actual reason why I like Dialga better

I pick Palkia for Spacial Rend, it is pretty much guaranteed to kill any Dragon type, I got my Palkia to lvl 100 much faster than Dialga, which is still not there yet. But seeing as you didn't put Platinum's mascot, I like Giratina more than Dialga or Palkia

Actually, Roar of Time does 50 more base damage than Spacial Rend. Roar of Time does 150 and Spacial Rend does 100. Both Dialga and Palkia's Special Attack are the same, so Roar of Time is more powerful. As for getting Palkia to Lv. 100 faster, it's just the speed you do it, because both Dialga and Palkia have the same amount of xp at Lv. 100. (1,250,000)

Well, I prefer Spacial Rend because it has a Increased Critical Hit Ratio and Roar Of Time must rest in the next turn.

Yeah, that's true. I just prefer to avoid high Critical Hit rating moves, because without an item, it's only a 25% chance of landing a Critical Hit.

I choose Palkia just because, 1. I don't like the way Dialga looks 2. Palkia was the first legendary I ever caught 3. Spacial Rend FTW!!!!

I see. Well, you've got to like the first Legendary you ever caught. Even though mine was Groudon, and I like Kyogre better. Rayquaza beats them both though.

Yeah I do like Kyogre also, but I'm not a big fan of Rayquaza though, even though he kills Groudon and Kyogre.

Even though this isn't relevant to the Topic, I just want to say that Rayquaza doesn't kill Groudon and Kyogre, he's just like a peacemaker type Pokemon, if I remember correctly.

Well yes that may be true but kills them in competitive battling. Back on topic, I also do prefer critical hit strong moves like Spacial Rend of Palkia.

Ah, he meant that way. In that case, yes, he kills them. And yeah, I guess I Spacial Rend is better, considering Roar of Time needs to recharge after use.

Personally, I think Roar of Time is better, because it does a lot more damage. It really depends which you consider more important: doing more damage or always attacking. The wait wouldn't have much effect if you raised the defense and special defense of your Dialga. Too bad I can't do that; I EV trained my Dialga for attack and special attack.

Yeah, that's a good point. Depending on how weak your opponent's Pokemon is, it won't matter if it recharges or not, because Roar of Time could probably OHKO it. Depending on what Types and Levels the Pokemon are, of course.

Over two turns, Spacial Rend has 300 Base power (with STAB) overall, but Roar of time only has only 225 Base power (with STAB) overall.
I have to say that Palkia is better as it only has one weakness (Dragon) and Dialga has two weaknesses (Fighting, Ground). Also Palkia just looks better that Dialga, imo.

Haha, I guess I can't argue with statistics. I always thought Dialga had a better design though. Maybe for some strange reason I like quadropeds more than bipeds.

I would say that palkia just looks more sleeker and polished than the rough and spiky Dialga.

Well Dialga is quite tough, but Palkia's Spacial Rend has a more Critical Hit ratio and it has only one weakness(Dragon). It looks cooler than Dialga though(in my opinion).

I'm going with for the same reason Porygon 3 went with : because I have Pearl, not Diamond.
