I'm kind of stuck on which evolution of eevee to pick. I know there's only three to choose from in FRLG but they all seem the same to me. Each of them seem about even and I want to balance my team out; I already have a water type so vaporeon loses points. I really don't know if I should raise eevee in these games and I'm thinking about maybe pal parking it to my HG game because those eeveelutions have more expansive movepools and also have more tutor moves to choose from. I'm also taking the nuzlocke challenge (LINK: http://www.psypokes.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=27018) I don't know about this and some advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've personally never bothered to use an eeveeloution. Their movepools are usually too limited for my liking.

Well, if it could, trade it to another game with clock and evolve it into either Espeon or Umbreon. Both two are pretty good IMO if you want an Eeveelution.

Wow. >.< A lot of people around here have a lot against Eevee and it's evolutions. I don't think I've heard anything really supporting them.
I personally think Eevee and all it's evolutions are wonderous.
Out of the three starting: Vaporeon has my full support. High Hp, Aqua Ring for stalling and combined with a Leftovers makes great for a stat swap with Baton Toss.
Out of Jolteon and Flareon, Jolteon seems to be a lot more offensive.
Flareon I don't have a lot of real respect for. Not much of a fan of fire Poke'Mon but hey, it's a well...fire Poke'Mon so it learns moves that can burn. (Don't know much what to say. I don't study fire Poke'Mon)
While I agree that their Learnsets do suck, this can be easily remedied with TM's.

I do not think that Flareon is bad. They are just... misunderstood. I guess I have bias from the fact that I love Fire types, but hey! At least Flareon makes up for its decent speed and attack. Jolteon, however, is my personal favorite. Why? I have a Lv. 89 or 90 Jolteon in my Emerald version (and a Lv. 50 in my LeafGreen) and well, their movesets are awesome! They can learn Shadow Ball, Bite, pretty much all the electric attacks that Gen. I-III can offer (except Volt Tackle) and other moves, like Return, Baton Pass, and Double Kick. Although mine is a Calm Nature (the one in Emerald), it still deals massive damage to Ghost Pokemon with Bite (which I still haven't had the time to replace it with Shadow Ball) Anyway, Jolteon is my favorite Eeveelution ever!

I say Vaporeon. It has good stat distribution and moves that work with its high Sp. Atk. Also it can learn Surf which makes it VERY useful. I know this because I used one myself.
