I would suggest that you change the title of this thread to "Which Fighting Pokemon Should I Get?" or something similar. Of course, knowing your choices, I voted for Poliwrath.
I love Poliwrath because it has a great hybrid that is unique for a long time, and that adds resistances. Plus, it looks awesome and can learn Psychic-type moves...
If you went to a second choice (of mine) Hitmonchan would be it. Because it can learn the elemental punches, it makes it that much more useful than just in situations that would normally call for a Fighting-type.
I think that Primeape is unfortunately one of the Pokemon who got shafted by Gamefreak. After Yellow, it hasn't really been used, because there are much better choices of that type.
My thoughts on the matter anyway. Hope this helps!

Primape is the fastest and unlike the other two it learns cross chop and has great attack power.
the other two are superior in types and moveset in the 4th Gen!
For 1st 2nd 3rd Primeape is vastly superior....

Isn't many resistances a GOOD thing? And what's wrong with being Water-type?

i think he means that alot do resist it.
and since this is b4 the physical/special split poliwrath is an inadequate choice.

It really depends on the other Pokemon in your party at the moment, or those you plan to have eventually. For instance, if you are already loaded with Water Pokemon, Poliwrath wouldn't be a good choice, due to overlapped weaknesses.
