What bands have you seen in concert? How were they?

I personally have only been to one concert... Most of the bands I'd like to see live in concert are either dead or broken-up.
But the one concert I've been to was a Velvet Revolver concert. It was a great performance. The only things that I disliked about it were the band that opened for them (Chevelle; no offense if you like them. They were all right, but it didn't really suit my tastes.), and the fact that Velvet Revolver was about 45 minutes late...
But it was a great concert. Because they only have one album, they don't really have that many songs. (For those who don't know, Velvet Revolver is pretty much Guns N' Roses with former Stone Temple Pilots frontman Scott Weiland in place of Axl Rose.) They did a Guns N' Roses song, "Mr. Brownstone," and a Stone Temple Pilots song, "... Type Thing." (Don't know if I'm allowed to say that word or not...) They even did a cover of Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here."
One thing Scott Weiland seemed to do pretty often was take out a megaphone and put the microphone inside it, creating a weird kind of echo effect. Also, about halfway through the concert, the lights all went dark, creating the impression that it was over. But then the lights came back on, and Slash (the guitarist) had his classic top-hat on and the band started playing "Fall to Pieces." (I think that was the song they did that for, but I don't remember.)
Their closing song was "Slither." They kind of tried to do the same suspenseful thing they did with "Fall to Pieces," but it was pretty obvious they weren't done yet because it's probably their most well-known song, and they were obviously saving it for last.
Overall, though, it was great. I'd like to see them next time they come to North Carolina.

<--- Scott Weiland = God.
I've seen The Moody Blues, Deep Purple and Aerosmith (in 1998/1999, all three with my parents) and Alanis Morissette/Barenaked Ladies in July 2004. Alanis was the only concert I really wanted to see for myself, so it's the only one I really remember other than Aerosmith doing that crappy Armageddon song and the Moody Blues having these two female back-up singers. Alanis did a good amount of Jagged Little Pill songs, a handful of Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie songs, only one song from Under Rug Swept, and two or three from So-Called Chaos which was her new album at the time. My favorite part of the entire concert was when, during Ironic, she sang "It's like meeting the man of my dreams... and meeting his beautiful husband." I liked the live concert WAY better than the live DVD she put out a couple years ago, where the band frequently drowned her out. She was awesome.

The Damned
Buzzcocks
Stiff Little Fingers
Alice Cooper
They are the major bands I have seen so far and all have been amazing.
I'm off to see the Undertones in July and Alice again in November.

Only big concert I've seen is an Arch Allies (the name that Styx and REO Speedwagon often tour together under) concert a few years back. That was awesome. People everywhere going crazy over these two bands from the 70s. They come back every few years, and I'd really like to go again.
Also, there was one other concert, but not such a typical band. Manheim Steamroller did a Christmas concert here a few years ago. That was pretty cool. I really wanna to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra next time they come up here too.

Relient K - hilarious.
Pillar - There was lots of fire involved, and lots of crowd interaction. They were awesome.
John Reuben - kinda lame.
The OC Supertones - Pretty good. Easy to have a good stage present if you're a ska band.
Matchbox Twenty - amazing.
Def Leppard - amazing.
Skillet - Even though I got kicked out during the last song for moshing too hard, it was still a kickbutt show.
w00t Def Leppard again, Bryan Adams, Paul McCartney and U2 in the next few months!

I've seen Mudvayne live in London, and they were complete nutters. I'm also going to see Iron maiden in Ireland at the end of August.

The only worldwide-known band I've seen in concert was Jethro Tull, who came to Israel last Summer. I've also seen about 5-6 Israeli rock bands in concert, a few times, but that doesn't count really.

Not going to laugh, since Weird Al is awesome.
As for me, I unfortunately haven't been to any concerts, mostly because I'm broke and no one I like comes down here.
