The music is one of the best things about G/S/C, but the remixes in HG/SS are even more awesome.

I like the old music better. Mainly because of the nostalgic feeling, and in HG/SS they overused xylophones.

Luckily they made a device called the GB Player to convert the HG/SS music into G/S/C music.
Anyways, I like the new music as much as the old music.

The GB player is a radio station right? And when on, it turns any music from the part of the game you're in into the old music?
If so, that's awesome!!!

While I like the old music, I think they did a good job remaking the tunes (they aren’t better… but they’re good), and giving separate tunes for Lugia and Ho-oh is AWESOME. But thanks to the GB player you can still listen to the old tunes… nostalgia levels are OVER 9000.

I love the new music. Especially the Champion Music. Like the battle with Lance song. It's awesome.

they've done an amazing job remaking the music, and i love the champion music in this one, mostly because its prety much the same as the old one but it cant beet cynthia's battle music
and i think game freak were wise to put the gb player in the games, it makes a change.

I say that the old music better mainly the rival battle theme, it's terrible what they did to it & really, they have a GB Player, that's awesome.
Definetely going to abuse the use of that. Though I like what they did with some of the new music though. Simply put, what "Ryanh181" said.

I dislike the HGSS music. GSC music was my favorites of all of the games, and nothing can replace that

I'm forcing myself to play through this lazy game (walkthroughs won't write themselves) and the noise that passes as music is disgraceful. I'm not too surprised since I disliked Generation III's soundtrack and HATED DDP's soundtrack, but it's completely amazing to me how the technology to create music has gotten so much better but the music in the Pokemon games has gotten so much worse. For the most part, HGSS's soundtrack is a bunch of synthesized crap that sucks all of the character out of the original GSC songs. They did a good job on the Ecruteak City theme and a few other pieces, however.

I know, the HGSS music I heard so far has far too much hard metal & horns in it as oppose to the almost shothing GSC music... it hurts knowing I have that to look forward to when I play the game til I get the Radio.

i love the music but the old ones will always be best.
i played g/s/c for 4 years.
It was amazing and for that; the music, story, pokemon, and everything will be best!
r/b/y was goodbut that was when i was 6-8 so the first pokemon game i really knew and understood was g/s/c

See? This is why I'm going to school to learn how to make music for Video Games. I actually know what people want.
