Just curious on who everyone thought was the hardest legendary to catch, for me it was Regigas, I had him paralyzed and false swiped and threw around 3 quick balls, 15 dusk balls, and like 25 timer balls before he ran into struggle and killed himself, so I reset and it happened AGAIN!! So on my third try I just threw my master ball at him(which I HATE doing!)
Also Arceus was really, really difficult (I ARed the Azure Flute).

Cresselia and Mesprit. Takes forever to find them then to catch them.
Heatran was hard to. Maybe it something to do with the fact it's level 70 and I was 50. >_< Plus I wanted a male. 12 resets.
Giratina was actually easy for me. My level 50 Roar of Timed'ed it once then I used a single Dusk Ball.

I would have to say Heatran. I had a level 100 Lucario and a level 4 Ralts. Guess which was more useful.
P.S. The Ratls had trace

Umm.. Let's see...
Giratina. I used a Staraptor, which is a Normal/Flying type, so Giratina could only used Slash and Heal Block (Earth Power and Shadow Force had no effect) and then I switched to Bronzong, for Hypnosis, but still, it requires 20+ Poké Balls to catch.
(and yes, I'm obsessed to catching legendaries only with Poké Balls)

Mesprit took me forever to catch, since I had to find it first.
I cheated on the others, I just used Master balls I cloned in Emerald.

I found mesprit and creaselia not too difficult, I caught a golbat with mean look and had a raichu with thunder wave ready to go, I would paralyze and then wait to find it again then I would mean look it and not let golbat die until timer ballls were very effective

Mesprit was stubborn and took awhile to finally get caught, like 10+ Great Balls and a few Timers.

They were all kind of easy but if I had to pick one I guess Giratina. I can't even remember it well to be honest

Not any really. I used cloned Master Balls from E. Cresselia is really the hardest, because getting a good nature is freakingly hard (synchronize doesn't work). In this Gen, it's still 50x easier to catch runners, because atleast you know where they are. I accidently rested shiny Cresselia btw., when looking for a good natured one. That one was Lax.

My Mesprit took a total 48 Timer balls and finally after about 120 turns I caught him.

Cressilia, because I poisoned it, and every time I ran into it it had one turn before it died.

IYour wrong about it being easier. You could tell where there were in FRLG and RSE, if you opened your pokedex and went to the runners page (Only if you encountered the runner once) and searched for location, it would tell tou where it was at the time DP just made it faster to find out thanks to the watch.
Anyways, hardest for me is Cresslia, because I don't have a Wobbufett like I conveniently used to catch Latias in Emerald. At least I used my Master Ball on Mesprit, thank god. (I didn't know about cloning when I got my master ball in Emerald, I wasted it on Rayquaza.)

Yeah, the roamings are hard in D/P, but Suicune in LG was hell...even at 1hp and asleep it took me FOREVER to find that thing...and you have to check the pokedex EVERY SINGLE TIME you go in and out of that stupid building...
For D/P, i'd have to say Heatran and Regigigas, the second one in particular cause 3 of your pokemon have to be Regis when you go in to catch it...argh...

Heatran was hard. Quick balls and Dusk balls and Timer balls FTW!

For me I guess it was Azelf. Even Giratina and Heatran were easier. I caught them both with about 10 ultra balls. And for me the easiest was by far Dialga; I caught it with one ultra ball . I still havent caught Cresselia because my Golbat isnt quick enough to mean look it, or Regigigas cuz i dont have the regis .

Mesprit probably...

Cresselia. Took me weeks to find it and catching it is a whole 'nother story.

took me forever to catch. I had it paralyzed and false swipe'd and it still took me 14 ultra balls, 30 timer balls, 12 dusk balls and all of them failed (I had also put it to sleep several times), and finally, I messed up and selected a premier ball instead of a dusk ball, and that's what caught it. Immediately after that though, I went to catch Heatran and wouldn't you know it, I threw a quick ball as soon as the battle started and caught it.
