Basically, we all have our favourite books and tv series', and we post those in the 'favourite' topics in this forum, but we don't just read our favourite books over and over, we read different ones, and our favourite tv series' aren't on all year round, so we must watch other things at other parts of the year. So the point of this topic is to tell people what you are watching/reading now, and what you think of it.
The purpose of this topic is so we can give other people ideas on what they could read or watch on tv at the moment, if they can't find a good book or series.
I just read 'Double Cross' by Malorie Blackman, which is the fourth in the noughts and crosses series, and it was fantastic, like the whole series. It had the same technique the author has used in all of her books where everything all goes wrong at once, just as it's getting better, and I love it. The downside with this book was that it was the first book not to feature Sephy telling the main story, and she was in very little of it at all, and I missed her , and that for the majority of the book, it was missing that changing perspective thing that has been in all the other books all the way through.
The books themselves are really well written, and really draw you to them, but they are quite depressing and miserable. The series is my all time favourite series.
I also recently read 'Hold On' by Alan Gibbons, which I really liked. Basically, it's about some girl who looks into the reason her friend John Sorrel ended up commiting suicide.
On TV, I'm currently watching Sarah-Jane Adventures, Spooks, and Survivors, all of which are on BBC channels. Spooks is like a spy drama, Sarah-Jane Adventures is a childrens sci-fi drama which is a spin-off of doctor who, and Survivors is about a virus that kills off the worlds population except for the few people naturally immune to it, and how these people cope.

I'm also watching Survivors, after having it recommended by my dad. Something needed to fill the void left after Doctor Who ended.
Currently, I'm reading Ursula le Guin's second Earthsea novel, The Tombs of Atuan. Seriously good stuff, though I kind of prefer the more maritime narrative of the first book. I'm also reading Isaac Asimov's Prelude to Foundation; it's a little dryer than some of his other Foundation books, but it's alright. Finally, I'm also /trying/ (unsuccessfully) to read Germaine Greer's The Female Eunuch.

I'm watching Strictly Come Dancing and It Takes Two. OMG!!! I LOVE those shows. Unlike X Factor (which sucks) it actually some talent in it, instead of a load of desperate people trying to sing. At the mo I'm forever the fan of Rachel and Vincente!! They RULE, I adore them. She's so sweet and small too, he always seems to get the really pretty ones.
As for books, well, my literary life is rather boring at the moment. I have just read Mort by Terry Pratchet (as in 10 minutes ago) and I am now attempting to start on Reaper Man (without much success ). Ah well, at least the books I have been reading are amazing .....

Just finished reading "The Curse of Chalion", "Paladin of Souls", and "The Hallowed Hunt", all by Lois McMaster Bujold. Very enjoyable fantasy books, the first two are basically book and loosely connected sequel, the third is in the same fantasy universe, but a completely different time and cast. "The Curse of Chalion" was my favorite of the three.

I am currently watching House MD and Bleach. I just discovered the awesomeness of House MD and started watching a couple of weeks ago. Bleach is stuck in a filler arc.......sigh. I am also reading "Ender's Game" for school, its pretty good if you like sci-fi with a Halo theme to it.
