Natures affect stats and pokeblock usage. They do not "like" each other.

As Ditto is most commonly used for breeding, the best nature would be the one you want your baby pokemon to have assuming you can use it in Emerald or DP. If not, then the nature can be whatever you want it to be as Ditto relies on its opponent's moves and stats in battle. Nature does not affect breeding.

Nature has absolutely nothing to do with how much pokemon like each other when breeding, it's dependent on their Trainer ID numbers.
That would depend on what you want. If you're playing Emerald, you can give the Ditto an Everstone, and the babies will have a 50% chance of having the Ditto's nature, in which case Adamant and Modest are both extremely useful. In the other advanced generation games, it doesn't matter at all, because nature is completely random.

No, the Everstone only has that effect on breeding in Emerald (and Diamond/Pearl, of course).

Pidgey doesn't learn Drill Peck.

Look on the main site to verify it. (That's why I gave you the link to the Psydex).

Yes. They were introduced in Emerald, so they work in Emerald and games afterward.

A few natures, including Adamant, Modest, Bold, Jolly, and Timid are more commonly used than others, but no one nature can be used for every pokemon.
If you are breeding a lot of pokemon, you might try getting a set of Dittos - one with every nature (except the neutral natures).
