Wallace for me. I had used blaziken to sweep the E4 in both ruby and sapphire, but i didnt know that they dethroned Steven in Emerald. By the time i realized, my blaziken was getting killed by Wallace's milotic. haha should have read up on the differences in Emerald.

Lance (2nd time), all his Pokemon has self-defense moves that can kill it's foe that has an advantage at him plus his high-leveled Pokemon.
Other than him,Lorelei's Dewgong is hard.No matter I level up my Raichu he can't be defeated by 1 hit. I still have to use Strengh first.

cynthia with her stupid garchomp kills almost my whole time everytime because of its speed, i even put my garchomp against hers and mine is made for speed and i have to get lucky to attack first, all the others elite 4 people are soo easy, i always took advantage of their type, or used a move like fly or dig to get out of the way when i knew sumthing big was coming

Her name is Bertha, and she was (in my opinion) the easiest to beat. Just hit her with some decent grass moves, and she's down.

Hardest Elite Four would have to have been...Sinnoh. But that is mostly because I can really remember that others all that much.
RBY: Easy as can be.
GSC: I remember feeling that I'd always have to teleport back to Newbark Town a few times.
RSE: Until Emerald, easily defeated with Blaziken and Waiload w/Ice Beam. Then along came water Pokemon.
LGFR: Not as bad I when I first thought of battling them, but haven't gone back for the higher level battles. Yet.
DP(P): This I would have to say is the first Generation I had to train as much as I did. Difficulty came verse certain things here and there. Mostly from stuff already mentioned. The fire guy really threw me off the first time I fought him and his Infernape OKed mine.
Can't wait to see what the change

I consider Giratina the 'opposite side' of the mystical Dialga and Palkia, being born when the world was first created. Basically the anti-existence to all the other pokemon.

Sinnoh's Elite 4 and Champion Cynthia were waaaaaaay too easy(Admittidly I had a level 70 Infernape, Luxray, Roserade, and Lv. 65 Alakzahm). It took me one try per trainer!!! WEAKLING ELITES!!!!!!!
The toughest in my opinion was the Elite 4 in Gold/Siler/Crystal. .....................8 tries !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ya...a Lvl 50 or so Garchomp or Gyarados could solo the whole Sinnoh E4 and Champion with the aid of leppa berries. Lorelei of the Kanto region was hard because she was real good at taking out my Dragonites when I fought her. But than again, I believe all the E4 and Champions can be defeated once you have a Pokemon in your team set up with Swords Dance or Dragon Dance.

Mine was the dragon elite from Hoenn ( I don't remember his name). I didn't have anything in my party that could beat dragons I can remember his salamence beating me every time.
Sinnoh definitely was the easiest

Only one person from the Elite 4/Champion battles has given me absolute FITS. That person is Cynthia.
Her first pokemon alone, her Spiritomb, was heck to take down, and her remaining ones weren't no walks in the park either (I don't know HOW long I spent on her Milotic). And her Garchomp...oh MAN, her Garchomp.

I don't recall any incredible challenges in FireRed or Emerald - I think I beat the Elite Four in one attempt in both games. As for Sinnoh, though, Lucian gave me troubles both times. In both my games, I lost to him the first time and had to regroup to take him down in the second attempt. My teams just don't trump his very well, I guess. After that, Cynthia put up a stiff challenge, but I still took her team down in one attempt in both games. Spiritomb was the only difficult one there; the rest didn't go down easy, but still fell in little time.

I really don't think any of the Elite Four members were hard; my first time through I beat with mainly Pikachu.
I've only lost to Gary and Cynthia

Oh yeah, Gary was definatly hard to beat. I could NEVER beat him in the final battle in R/B/Y, but in LG, I beat him on my first try after a very tough fight.
Kinda makes sense, since back when R/B/Y first came out, my Pokemon experience was nearly nil, and I had more experience when LG/FR came out. :/

Phoebe from Hoenn was AWFUL on my first run through Emerald, I had no Pokemon really effective against ghosts, so axing her Dusclops' was a problem. And PROTECT!? What an annoying move!!! In the E4 too!!!
Oh and... LOL had to switch off my GB when I played Blue as a kid, used cheats to get an infinite-HP Porygon, and Bruno used Fissure. Sat for about 30mins before I realised it wasn't going to faint. Moral of the story, kids... blah blah blah

I don't think anyones mentioned this yet, but Koga from RBY and GSC, he was Insanely frustrating. I ended up getting a , , and getting my friend to gameshark my so that he was steel and fire type.
He is that hard.
Steels reccomended.

To everyone with Garchomp problems: There's this move called Avalanche./ Remember it? Use it on Garchomp.

Personally i think rby lorelei was the hardest. Even though she had the weakest pokemon of the elite four there was nothing that was 4x times supa effective against her which made it really hard and her dam lapras was so good the only way you could ohko was to be 20 lvls above it which was really hard wen you 1st faced her coz u wer 10 lvls below her

I would have to say that Red and Blue (Not fire Red and Leaf Green) was the most difficult gym, mostly because as there are more trainers in Fire red and Leaf Green as well as the Elite four are actually slightly weaker in Fire Red and Leaf Green.
1st of the elite fours: Lorelei, Will, Sidney and Aaron: Lorelei was definately the most difficult, Sidney, Aaron and finally Will
2nd of the Elite Fours: Bruno, Koga, Pheobe, Bertha: Pheobe was the most difficult, Bertha next, then Bruno and finally Koga
3rd of the Elite Fours: Agatha, Bruno, Glacia, Flint: Agatha was the most difficult, then Flint, Glacia next then Bruno
4th of the Elite Fours: Lance, Karen, Drake, Lucian: , Lance was most just, , Lucian Drake and finally Karen
Champions: Blue, Lance, Steven, Cynthia: Steven (Metagross and Claydol were such a headache), Cynthia, Blue and Lance
Kanto Pokemon League: 1, 3, 1, 1, 3 Total 9
Johto Pokemon League: 4, 4, 4, 4, 4, Total 20 (this one wasnt that difficult as the others
Hoenn Pokemon League: 2, 1, 3, 3, 1 Total10
Sinnoh Pokemon League: 3, 2, 2, 2, 2 Total 11
so i guess Kanto for me was most difficult

I haven't beat the Elite Four in a while, so I don't quite remember whoever's name it was, but whoever had the Bronzong was nearly impossible. Since the first time I defeated the Elite Four I didn't have any fire or ground-type moves I had to use all of my potions.
Even now, my level 100 Blaziken can't OHKO it with Flamethrower.

Cynthia by a country mile.
Think about it though, she is so well rounded that you can't take her out with a single strategy (I'm talking about your first attempt, by the way), and the only way to OHKO her Spiritomb is a shotgun... although I doubt that will work, either.
Also Bertha was the EASIEST EVER elite 4 member. Decent Sp. Atk + Grass Knot = Dead Grandma.
