i completed the dex a while ago, and you dont need legendary event pokemon to complete it! National Dex is only 482, although i did get 490

I'm pretty sure this hasn't been asked yet, but i apoligise if it had and i missed it, but will battling with trainers over Wi-fi help add pokemon to your Sinnoh dex? and if so, does it matter if you win or not?
If you can would somebody mind battling me using the 6 pokemon i need? (i'll post their names after i know whether you can gain them like htis or not.)

if they where to trade/trade back them then you'd have them. however, some trust is needed there.

yes it would take some trust, and some people could be trusted
but then there are hackers who send you an impossible pokemon that could break your game

I found that if you battled every single trainer minus the Elite Four then you will only be missing:
Infernape (if you chose Empoleon)
Drifloon
Garchomp (unless you raised your own Gible)
and Dialga/Palkia (unless you saw the pic before you decided to fight)

No, you see a drifloon from a trainer at the Hearthome city gym.

Changing time in the game makes the game wait 24 hours for time based events. For instance, if you cahnge the day to friday, you have to wait a day for drifloon to appear, and then it will be too late. if you wish to do this, change it to thursday.
i ditn have any problems doing that. but what i did was this. i changed the date in the DS so it was a friday. then i went to import some pokemon from a GBA game (knowing that it wouldnt let me), at which point it said "you are using a different DS or the internal clock has changed - do you want to update these settings?" (it also said pokemon couldnt be migrated for another 24 hours if i said "yes". so i said yes, and then i went and caught a drifloon. but yeah, you could always just wait until the next friday....

I helped someone complete their Sinnoh Dex. He asked if he could do a trade back with his Dialga and my Palkia, but I just told him that the woman at Celestica gives you the info. He then just got Unown and all he needed was Wormadam. I just rebattled the person with that pokemon not so long ago and told him where that trainer was. I think I made his day. I think...

I just need Magmortar, Gallade, Froslass, and the 3 "unobtainable" legendaries to complete the dex.

this is only for completing the sinnoh dex 150
trade with someone for magmortar (magmar with magmarizer), and stone male kirlia for gallade, female snorunt for frosslass, and Im not sure about the legends.

Is there a way to see Munchlax without using honey trees or Spiritomb without completing the Hallowed tower sub-quest?

Your rival has a Munchlax. I think the first time you see it is during a double battle when you pair up with him.
Cynthia has a Spiritomb for you to see when you battle her after the Elite Four.

I have seen 491. I know what 2 I am missing and own about 485 of them. Still I know what is mmissing. Is there any easy way however to get a cherubi? I mean yes I know you have to put honey on a tree but is there a particular spot where you can see them more often than others or is it all the same probablilty?

As I Was Starting Up The Game I See It Says Pokedex 149
I Check My Pokedex And Its Correct Ive Already Seen 149 Pokemon...
I Didnt Even Try To Complete It Before The E4, I Actually AVOIDED The Grass
I Dont Like Fighting Wild Pkmn ,I Fought Every Trainer Only For The Training
And Ended Up With An Almost Complete Pokedex. I Just Saved
Myself A Lot Of Time Somehow.
Well If Youll Excuse Me Im Off To Start A Battle With #114 And Earn My National Dex
I had almost the exact same story. Finished the Elite Four. Encountered Mesprit, Uxie and Azelf. Saw the book with Dialga in (I've got Pearl), and I was missing one pokemon. It wasn't Unown, cause I'd already gone to Solaceon ruins out of curiosity. It was....
a Tentacool! Ironic, huh? Normally you can't get rid of them, and this time it's the only one that you DO want!

I got my Cherubi from the Honey tree just to the right of Canalave. It was only lv.7, but I got caught 1st go.

I believe the only place you can see Electivire is in the battle tower, and they don't get entered into the pokedex on there, unfortunately.
If you're stuck on getting Electirizers (providing you have FireRed), an easy way to get them is by teaching Thief to a Butterfree, and using it on every elekid that you find. You'll get one eventually.
