Sorry if this has been anwsered elsewhere, so feel free to delete it if it is. Since FireRed and LeafGreen do NOT have a timer function, does that mean it's impossible to catch Pokerus from anything wild in those games?

You can, but Pokerus will stay indefinitely instead of going away after some time.

Is there a way to undo unwanted EVs for a particular stat in FR/LG? Otherwise, do we have to trade over our Pokemon to Emerald and stuff them with berries?

I've seen more and more Pokerus questions lately, so I'll clear them up with this...

Yes, that's the only way.

In Mt Moon, you battle a dude and you get to choose a fossil. Does it matter what fossil you choose?

Yes and no. You do not get a chance to get the other fossil (without a second cartridge/restarting), and they get ressurected into different pokemon (Helix=Omantye/Omastar, Dome=Kabuto/Kabutops). Thus, you pick which pokemon you'd rather have in your game, and choose your fossil accordingly.
But, which fossil you pick makes no difference whatsoever story-line-wise.

I don't think you need those, as those are event legends in FRLG. But I may be wrong, as you can get them through Colo/XD.
You do not need Mew, Celebi, Jirachi, or Deoxys.

Head to the right and down from the ferry building, and curl around through the spiral to get to the dotted door.

Please clarify - FRLG cannot play minigames with RSE in any way, correct?

Correct. The minigames in FRLG and RSE are different.

Actually FRLG can play the wireless minigames with Emerald Version with the wireless adapter (Dodrio, Jumprope). They are incompatible with Ruby and Sapphire, however.

I wasn't sure on this, and I was hoping someone could help. If you miss the Nintendo Events for LGFR/RSE/PD, it is only possible to get those Pokemon through trade?
Secondly, is there a way to get all three starters in LGFR beside trade, or is that the only way?
And thirdly, if you picked one starter, you can get one of the Legendary Dogs. What about the other two? Are they in the wild after you beat the E4 second time?
Thanks in advance.

Yep, that's the only way.

That is the only way, likewise.

Go here for more info: http://www.psypokes.com/lgfr/legendaries.php
If I'm not wrong you have to trade the other two dogs as well.

I'm restarting FR and have (again) chosen Charmander as my starter. How feasible is it to EV train some of the critters I capture along the way - that is to say, not just do a batch of EV training before E4, but actually train my party as I go?

Usually, people don't bother EV training in-game - it's not needed. Training as you go is going to be rather difficult, unless you either find a good location to train and stop there, or keep the pokemon you're training in the back of your party whenever you find a trainer. I would recommend just breeding for good nature + IVs (if you want) later, and then train those pokemon.

The man that sells you a for $500 before you go to Mt. Moon, can you possibly get a shiny from that dude? Like soft resetting for a legendary, can you get one the same way?

It's possible I think. There's no reason to believe otherwise, so go ahead and try to get a Shiny this way.

No. On the other hand, if you see it the first time and it IS shiny, it will be still shiny if you see it again.

I have a few queries;
my first of which is abit between here and the advanced generation but w/e.
I will have a Deoxys pretty soon and will trade it to LeafGreen, I know the shape will change to defence, but will the stats?
I am also Suicune hunting, is there any specific place more likely to find a dog or a specific dog, and are there some places the dogs can't be?
thanks.
