hey, with the power items, how does it work? i know it adds +4 EV's, but what about with pokerus? Lets say its 1 hp EV with both power item and pokerus. Does it go 1ev + 4 (power item) X 2 (pokerus) OR 1 ev X 2 (pokerus) + 4 (power item)?

Now this is MY understanding of it, I do not know if it is true.
Defeat a Magikarp, 1 speed EV
1 + 4 (for Power Anklet, if you are boosting speed, in which case you probably are if you are fighting Magikarp) = 5. 5 then gets doubled for Pokerus, making it 10 EVs. Now if you were...lets say to fight a Staravia and win, which gives 2 Speed EVs. 2 + 4 x 2 = 12, making it 12 if you have Power Anklet and Pokerus.
Although I can't stress this enough, this is WHAT I THINK IT IS. I have been wrong many times in the past and I will be wrong many times in the future, but if I am right, your welcome

Power Anklet? Where do you get that? Ive never heard of it before. Did I miss something? That sounds a little too easy though Auzzie, In just one level up term? 12 sounds too much. The most I have ever seen is +5

that is correct; you can actually get 14 = (3 + 4)*pkrs as 3 is the highest amount a pokemon gives.
That's why EV training is so much easier in DP
Power items are bought for 16 BP.

Actually i am pretty sure the math goes:
3*2+4= 10.

No, the EVs gained from the power item are affected by pkrs. I know this for a fact, I EV train often using power items and pkrs (and count the EVs of course).

WOWZERS! Any chance you would be willing to trade those items?

Just buy them from Battle Tower shop, or if your poor and suck at the BT like me, just try to find someone to trade them, but I warn you now I know from experience, not many people are just willing to give them away, you're going to need to offer something to their liking.

I don't have the time to beat the BT. I am asking for a trade! I can clone them and give them back.

Not alot of people are that willing to trust others with their pokemon like that.
I didnt know that those were called Power Items. I'll have to take a looksy... Oh yah I remember now. Wow I have only 15 BP? hmmm Oh well But yah Im going to have to do some EV training now that I know that.
Im not 100% how it works still.
How come that dont work for me when I fight a Golduck (+2 Sp Attc) and have the Lenses on and Pokerus? I never see anything past 4 on special attack

EVs are a semi-invisible stat: 4 EVs on a stat = +1 overall on that stat. Max EVs per stat are 255, max EVs total are 510, when dividing by 4 remainders don't count, blah blah blah...
Anyway yeah, EV training is a heck of a lot easier in DP, with the addition of Power items. I've never been a lucky goose enough to have any Pokerus-infected Pokemon, but thanks to Action Replay I can get a maximum of 7 EVs per battle (the +3 EV grant Pokemon do not occur naturally in the wild). Before I didn't even want to bother, as it would take me the whole of Sunday just to do one. Now I can whip out one a night thanks to Power items.
Battle Tower in DP is easy to get BP, much easier than in Emerald (unless you're good at the Pyramid). You get 3 to start with, then 4, etc. And all that adds up very fast.
iirc the items go like this:
Power Weight: gives 4 extra HP EVs.
Power Bracer: gives 4 extra Atk EVs.
Power Belt: gives 4 extra Def EVs.
Power Lens: gives 4 extra SA EVs.
Power Band: gives 4 extra SD EVs.
*Power Anklet: gives 4 extra Speed EVs.
The extras apply even if you're not fighting that kind of Pokemon, i.e. defeating a Poliwag with Power Weight equipped gives 1 Speed and 4 HP EVs.

*The description of this item seriously needs rewording. Read it and you'll know what I mean.

ok I understand that part now. The only thing now that has me confused is when do I get those EV's? I mean I level up and I get a +4 on Sp Attc, but I tried an experiment taking off the lens and it still registerd as 4. I then fought a pokemon that doesnt give you any Ev's on Sp Attc and it STILL gave me 4. Why dont I get more than that? Thats what im wanting to know. I know Im probably being very frustrating but I dont get it. You guys say that you should get like +12 on something if you have the Pokerus and an anklet. Ok I have those. How come it is only saying +4 when I level up?

It sounds like you're expecting a stat increase; don't. The full stat increase from EVs is only visible at lv100. Even when you level up, you probably won't see all the stat points from EVs added on.

So at 100 all the EV's get added on? Ok I get it now. Thanx. So in the end will it say like + 35 on this and +40 on that something like that? or will it not show up bubt when you look at your stats you can tell that it added more than what it said from the previous level? Ive never EV trained as you can tell and I want to try it out

no, it will show as small increases each level, such as +3 when it would have been +2. But at lv100 all of the EVs will have been added on.

The most EVs you can get from a single battle is 14, with a Power Item, pokerus, and something dead like a Gardevoir for 3 EVs.
3Evs+ 4 extra x 2 = 14Evs.
Thats 3 extra stat points in the long run.

This is how stats are calculated:
HP = floor((2*base + EV/4 + IV)*(level/100)) + level + 10
stat = floor((2*base+EV/4+IV)*(level/100)*nature) + 5
Your pokemon receives those 14 EVs. At the next levelup, its stats are recalculated with those EVs included. However, because the stat is affected by the level, the actual gain is not the full EVs amount.
stat gain = (stat of next level) - (current stat)
*floor() means round down

One question though, about vitamins like carbos.
Say I have pokerus and the power anklet, and give my magikrap a carbos.
Is that 28 EVs?

hold items, and pkrs, do not affect EVs gained from EV powerups. They only affect EVs gained from battles.

Alright this seems like an appropriate place for my question:
If my poke already has 100 EVS for HP then I give it HPUP's would it allow me to? If so then the amount of my EV's is 200.

I've found that from experience.
I was Ev training my Blissey for spec.att, and got to 50 and thought, "Damn! I forgot Calcium!"
So then i headed to the shop and bought 10 calcium....
The blissey began eating them, but stopped at 5...
Long story short, the answer is no. The best thing to do is to give them the vitamins at the VERY start.
