Is the Daycare a decent place to raise pokemon once you've finished EV training them? They seem to do levels up to 50 pretty well. Has anyone tested how efficient it gets after that? I'm thinking of parking 2 pokemon that I've EV trained in there and go vs.seek to level up the rest of my party. This way at least 2 other pokemon are being raised at the same time. Is it worth it? Or is the daycare ineffective after level ~50?

After level 50!?
Man, i run out of patience trying to get a pokemon up to level 20 in the day care!
If you've already EV trained your pokemon i find the easiest way to raise it is to just keep it on your belt and just go about your business, you'll get in plenty of wild battles and when you feel like it, smash the Elite 4 a couple of times for a few levels.

that's pretty much it. just use it as your first poke, i find the low levels that hardest but the whole 'deletes your moves' put me off of the idea.

i normally put in pokemon that have learned all their moves (eg: lv. 63 typhlosion in emerald) to train cuz i don't care about ev's and iv's at all.

It wouldn't be such a bad idea if you were hatching eggs at the same time, but I hate the fact that the Daycare lady deletes your moves...
Nintendo should have put soemthing that let's us choose wich move we don't want deleted.

if you have the patience, then it can work. Keep in mind, though, that the slide trick (the one where you hold the up button down right by a mud slide that you need the Mach Bike to get up) doesn't work in DP. The E4 is usually better to train, since you get exp faster and you get money. You just need a strong pokemon that can smash the E4 repeatedly

I wouldn't leave your pokemon until all of their moves have been learned, because not only will the day care chick delete your moves, but she'll delete good ones for really bad ones. I personally only use the daycare for breeding. I would just use the Elite Four for training. If the pokemon can take on the E4 on their own, thats a great way to train. If not, just give it an Exp. Share and use someone who can.

Hence the reason you wait until all of your moves have been learned: They daycare lady only deletes your moves if your pokemon reaches the level where it learns a new move.

When you put your pokemon in the Daycare, it gains 1 experience point for every step you take. So when your pokemon gets to a higher level, they'll gain levels slower because you need to take more steps.
If you really want to raise your pokemon using the daycare, you can get on your bike and ride around for a looooooong time.
But, if your pokemon's already EV trained, it might be a good idea to just carry it around with you and battle the E4 as others have said, because that method is faster.

Yes riding the bike is the way to do it, if you find yourself hatching eggs it gives you a good opportunity to do it. And I mean eggs that you have leftover from old breeding seeing as you cant release them and idk what that old guy would do with so many eggs = p

As long as you can change them, it's fine. The main problem is deleting good moves, like egg moves and TMs.

Meh. My first daycare ditto from RSE is level 74 just from being in the daycare. :D
And my other one from FRLG is level 63.
But those... they were probably in there since I got them, only ever coming
out so I could breed on an egg move. And then they'd just get shoved back in
my box until I was done :[

I really can't understand what the problem is, i mean isn't that what Heart Scales are for?

to my knowledge heartscales don't bring back TM's, not sure if they bring back egg moves either.

They don't bring back egg moves or TM's. And even if you can get a move back with a heart scale, you may not have a heart scale at the moment, or do but you're saving it for something else (like making a legendary Pokemon learn a forgotten move). If you're Pokemon has already learned all of it's moves then it's fine, especially if you're trying to hatch eggs at the same time. I just think it's more fun battling with them and in the process, possibly finding flaws in your moveset.
