I think that Bulbasaur would have to be the worst out of the three.
Then for me, its a tie between Squirtle and Charizard.
Blastoise is really handy with Ice Beam and Earthquake, but isn't very affetive against Misty, Surge, and Erika
Charizard is really helpful towards the end of the game, but has trouble starting off. I find it easy to offset this by just having a Pikachu/Raichu on the team

I would say my favourite is Charmander, but since I just want to play the game up until I can get a Growlithe and an Eevee I picked Bulbasaur for the type advantage over Brock and Misty. Once I transfer those over, my next starter is Charmander. I love fire types because they're so rare in these games. Arcanine, Typhlosion, Flareon, Entei. Love 'em.

Personally, if you have the money, I think you should just buy both games and get all 3 on both games, then you don't have to worry about it (except for which legendary dog you get)

Charizard has a big weakness and so does venasaur.
Blastoise is the only one that can really counter its weaknesses with a measure a good success.
Fire types are uncommon, but not really necessary. Venasaur's move pool especially in the old games wasn't that good.

I'm training a Venusaur right now in LG, and it's still not good, especially compared to the other two starters. and are definitely the best for FR/LG.

Venusaur is definitely my favorite...I dunno if it's really the "best" or not. It can learn Earthquake and Sleep Powder, so it can't be THAT bad. Second favorite is Charizard (good stats/movepool) and my least favorite is Blastoise...lack of speed is a bummer.

i would say, it may be weak against the first two gyms but by catching a and , it makes it easyer but still a challenge for those who like challenges, like me
if you want easy, choose
and normal,

I'd have to say Bulbasor, only if you were talking about getting past the first two gyms, however there are other pkmn you can use to help you through the early game even if you pick charmander. If you start with fire you should either get a mankey or a buterfree to take on Brock. Then you could either use a pikachu or an oddish to take on Misty, And after you get through the first two gyms there is an extremely wider variety of pkmn to use to get through the game , so the starter will have the greatest impast at the begining of the game because of the wider varity of pkmn you can obtain later in the game.

squirtle is the best starter and blastoise the best last evolution of the starters.

I always start with charmander because
when its lv 13 It learns metal claw to beat brock
once its a charmelen the two move tutors after mt moon can teach it mega punch/kick to beat misty
after that the gyms get easy.
