You catch Giratina there after you get the National Dex. It's at lvl 70, Ghost and Dragon, and a lot of HP.

Very powerful pokemon in that cave.
Well the deeper you go, the more powerful the pokemon will be.
I found a level 66 bronzong in there.

In order to make it to Giratina you'll have to follow the non-symmetrical doorways.

Yes and I also believe I found a bunch of 'rare bones' there where Giratina would normally be...I just sell them...

I don't see any other use for them. Sells as much as a nugget would. Usually I pick mine up underground though.

I kept going straight up until I found him. Wasn't hard to take down. I just used ghastly to spite it's shadow drive and slash away. I used lick to paralyze it. After that, just weaken it and throw a ball (timer ball for me).

Man, I wish people would spell Gastly right. And anyway, to capture Giratins, the best way is to lower its HP and then start chucking Dusk Balls. Bringing a Pokemon with Pressure is a good idea too since then Giratina has only 3 Shadow Dives and 5 Earth Powers.

I've heard rumors about using it on Cubone and Marowak, but I'm not definite.

That probably is the best thing to do, but a Master Ball can also be used for Heatran or Cresselia.

That's ironic, because you can't spell Giratina.
For Giratina, I just used a traded over master ball.

Giratina. I just threw a dusk ball and *click*.
I almost choked on my water.
I caught all the D/P legendaries like that though.
I never used the master ball though.
Takes the fun outta catching stuff.

I was lazy and just saved in front of him, then threw about 5 Quick Balls. When I didnt catch him, I repeated. It took a while, but not nearly as long as you guys who fought it.
Now I think of it, I've done that for every legendary that isnt a runner, except for Uxie for some reason :/
