That is so cool, I love the phrase too, and you're right, there is nothing wrong with it. 10/10
May I ask who the person is? Or is it another FF person?

The guy in my sig is Karel, from Fire Emblem. I *think* it's a he; I haven't reached the point in the game where you can obtain him for your army. However, the whole render kind of proves what gender he is.

Amazing what you can draw when you're bored stiff in a holiday house with no internet and only German television

Wait, who drew that? You? If so: what the heck is that thing? Stick to Photoshop/Paint (whichever you use).

Oh, who could "GQ" be? Gentleman's Quarterly? No, it couldn't be "goldenquagsire" by any chance?
Explaining why you think it's bad would be nice. Also, I use the GIMP.

Well, the face looks all weird, and it's a very rough sketch, so could you neaten it up?
BTW: 1st: it looked sorta crappy, which is not your style, which is why I asked who drew it.
2nd: What the hell is GIMP?

That is pretty much my best attempt at drawing. I could draw over it on the computer to neaten it out a bit, but that will take a while. I'll give it a go, because it's good practice.

My skills at drawing by hand and signature-making are unrelated. You can make amazing drawings, but awful computer art; vice versa as well.

The best legal and free image editing program. Comparable to Photoshop in quality, and no registration necessary. </endorsement>
Seriously, a lot of the best artists use it. Search for GIMP on DeviantART and you'll see some of the most advanced works possible on the program.

It's a wonder I haven't heard of it, then....

"Ooh! Jerry, Jerry!" Or something american like that, keeping fights going.
On topic, that pic is weird. And GQ you are right, if you are good at either hand or computer art, the other doesn't necessarily follow on. I think my Pokemon hand art is great, but when you look at my sigs...*stifles laugh...*
As for the pic itself, I like it. It actually makes me laugh, it reminds me of when the Smeargle use Jirachi's signature attack, Wish in the manga. I actually like it, despite it's contrast in quality to your sigs.

Be nice. The only thing that is like uber wrong is that there is too much space between the nose and the mouth. I wish i had a scanner...

Your drawing is a lot better than what I can ever accomplish, so that's all respect
Btw, a professional question: Does hand drawn, scanned, pixelated pictures look good on sigs? It would be cool to make a sig entirely of your own, even the render.

Depends on how good your drawing is. If you can do this, by all means do. However, I wouldn't recommend it with this.

Sweet stuff you got here Gold. Can I call you that?
Any way I don't know how you mange to keep this thread going. All the other threads I've seen die pretty quick. Extra points for that, keep it up.

I've been prevented from much graphicking by the last few days of the Easter Holidays. I present to you my latest work - Balthier, sky pirate and one of the party on FFXII.

Apologies for the double post.
I had a little too much time on my hands, and I made this.

Lol, how'd you do that? I would have taken it for a real bottle of.. Roserade
Great job with the sig. I can't do anything else but stare at it, it's so beatiful. Now this is just my opinion, but I think that the render is a bit too blended, not that it does much, but it could have been a bit clearer, IMO.

God, that Roserade made me crack up! That is absolutely brilliant, that should go into some kind of art competition or something!
And I love your new sig, it is really cool. I don't wish to sound patronising (which I would have trouble doing, seeing as you are way above me in terms of art) but you are getting better. It's noticable.
Not that I'm saying your art used to be crap, just that it is noticably cooler.

It's awesome. Possibly your best, at least to my humble eyes. I kinda like the text on this one. It's different. What's the render btw?
No point in giving ratings here.

The render is a Necron. It's a kind of zombie/cyborg thing from the video game Dawn of War: Dark Crusade, which is based on the tabletop game Warhammer 40k.
Yeah, I know that didn't really help much.

No real artistic merit. I was making a sig request for someone, and stumbled across exactly the right combination of colour and background. I saw it, and the part of my brain named "FFX" switched on and yelled at me to keep it. So, I decided to make a sig with it. However, I couldn't find any good renders.
Plan B. I did the font for the FFX game, and I added it to the background. I slapped on a border and posted it here. It's a quaint little thing, and I rather like it, even if it isn't really a sig.
