Are Shadow-type attacks are calculated by Defense/Attack or SDefense/SAttack?

But how? It SHOULD be measured by one. Maybe there is a unknown stat (like evasion) that only exists in XD/Colosseum.

I doubt that. Maybe it depands on the nature of the attack e.g. Shadow Wave is special and Shadow Blitz is Physical. (this is just speculation)

Maybe... I dunno. Is there a way to test that? And if it depends on the nature of the attack, is Shadow Panic a "Other" attack?

there is a very good way to test it. trade a blissey onto the game. in a double battle deliberately kit it with a shadow attack (make sure the pokemon you attack it with is a similar level). if it does heaps of damage then it is calculated as an attack. if it does hardly any damage it is counted as a special attack. if you want to test the theory that some are normal and some are special, try attacking with a variety of different shadow atacks. i would try myself, but i dont have any shadow pokemon left.

Im pretty sure the type of attak is based on what type your pokemon is.
I used my houndour to attack a shroomish with shadow blitz and it was super effective but when i used it on a geodude it was not very effective. I think that the move takes on the type(s) of the user and whatever type(s) it happens to be decides on whether the move is SAttack or Attack.
thats just what i think.

Shadow is super effective to all types but Shadow, which it isn't very effective against. Also, what would happen to a Weather Ball under Shadow Sky? I've seen someone use Weather Ball while Shadow Sky was in effect and it was purple. Does that mean it's Shadow? Because it wasn't super effective against my [normal] Zangoose.

It's psysical because they use their psysical stance when attacking, but the ones with the special stance? maybe it's special for the special stance moves and physical for the physical stance moves?
