:O Ohnoez.
I bet you your sigs are going to ge better than mine in a short time, cause I have been slacking off and not working on mine ;o
I love the sprite, btw. Looks different than a Nintendo sprite, but I think it looks better.

Not likely any time soon, I'm afraid. You've had months more experience than me, and you have Photoshop; it pains me to say it, but it probably IS a better program than GIMP.
Still though, you never know... If I can just find a way of emulating that cloudiness effect that the best artists have on their sigs, I might get a little better.

I know. It uses more colours than allowed on a Pokemon sprite. This has two causes:
1. I don't know exactly the limit of colours.
2. I couldn't bear to make the clothes identical.
BTW, anyone who notices a difference in my sig, that's because I updated it again. It now has a back-glow.

Hmm... the camo background seems awkward for the FW.
I didn't know you played Warhammer.

Eheh, I know it looks odd. That was a pretty old sig, come to think of it. Maybe, he's wearing camo armour?

I've played about four games at my cousin's house (he's the chap who got me interested in it), and I've played Dawn of War a few times. I can't really call myself a fan, to be honest. I DO like the whole background and stuff of 40k.

I tried using gradients on this sig:
Evidently, I still have no idea what to do. I like this one though. I think I might use it for my own sig!

What cloudiness effect, by the way?
EDIT: You mean this as a transparent layer?
And also, I think the limit the number of colors in a sprite is 15+1 transparency. Hmm... maybe that wa PS1 colors, I can't remember. Possibly it's 31+1 transparency...

YES! That's it exactly!
Could ya please tell me how you did it? Just descrbing the tools and settings you used should be enough, I can tranfser them to GIMP.

What do you mean by transparency? In photoshop, to get a clouds layer, you go to Filter>Render>Clouds, but I've never heard of transparent clouds.

Yeah, that's what I did.
Transparent clouds are when you place the cloud on 1 layer, then make the layer transparent. Simple.
The primary colour and secondary colour determinges the colour of the cloud.

Yay Edward! You should have made one with their cat.
Anyway, all of your sigs just keep on getting better and better.

OMG. I. LOVE. THE. FMA. SIG.
I like the soft, faded effect of it. And I told you that you were going to get better than me eventually ;o

Not just yet, methinks...
Anyway, I think I might work on a Scar sig soon. If I can find a decent render...

Well, I couldn't find a Scar render.
I like this anyway. It's Vincent Valentine, for those of you with eye and brain problems.

OMG, triple post.
Newest sig. Uses the same background and render as the last one, but less sucky.

A combination of the cloud render effect, changing the opacity and using the eraser tool liberally.

The latest model. I made a version with a Dusclops render, but I hate that one. Oh, and yes, I finally have grasped the basics of gradients. If only I can find out about those bloody blending modes.
Edit:
I still have a weird feeling of dislike for it, but it's an improvement.
