Well, about the same as Rayquaza I think, so round about 600-700HP, but I killed him in about 2 hits with a lv98, so it's not too hard. I suggest your pokemon being over lv60 before challenging him, and having linked moves is very useful.

Try going at lv 55-60.... Or higher if you want it to be easy.

Well...
think of this...
the more floor you walk, the lesser level...
so 40 floor, not as much as 99 floor... so I guess lv 50 Ho-oh might be reasonable...
now... 99FLOORS to reach a level 30 Lugia!! YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY.. that it is not a lv 85 Lugia @_@ or even lv 50-70...
*sigh* kind of inverse

well...
in my opinion, I would rather a lower level one...
like Ho-oh... every time I go through Mt. Faraway, both of my pokemon's pp are run out by traps and need max elixir... lOL
also like mewtwo, by the time you are through with the dungeon, not much pp are left!!

Well most times i've been to Western Cave, i've found about 10-15 Max Elixirs on the earlier floors.
Also, you do know that there's an ability to prevent Traps as well? Just requires quite a few gummies.. (That'll help alot with the Sludge and PP Zero traps)
Remember there's the standard attack as well, it'll probably kill most on the earlier floors in Western Cave in one hit and later ones if you are near level 100 with a decent pokemon.

I'm on my way to Lugia now. Just got access to Silver Trench. Feraligatr is Level 40 and it beat Entei with great diffuculty. Either Lugia is going to use Aeroblast on me, or I'm gonna faint from hunger on the way. Buried Relic was hard, 99 floors as well...
By the way, do you need to defeat all 3 legendary dogs to be able to meet Lugia? Because I now have the Red Wing...

You don't need to do the fields to unlock Lugia, you need to:
Recruit the legendary birds
Clear stormy sea
And clear pitfall valley.

I don't find it very hard to get to Lugia. Mainly I just use regular attacks from CHARIZARD until I get to it and when I battle it, I use BLAST BURN and it faints.

You're new here, so you probably don't know the rule against necromancy or necrophilia or whatever it's called. Pretty much, if a topic has gone past the first page, don't post in it - it's a dead topic!!

Er... Mudget, I think you've misunderstood the meaning of necromancy. Posting beyond the first page is most definitely not necromancy. Reviving old topics which have not been posted in for a long time, and yet not adding to the discussion at hand, is necromancy.
In any case, discussion in this topic has ended in August, so please do not revive the thread anymore.
If anyone has any further queries about Lugia in Mystery Dungeon, please contact a moderator to re-open this thread, provided that the main site is unable to answer your queries.
