I've just read the "Amulet of Samarkand" by Jonathan Stroud. Its an abosolute beaute of a book. Action, fantasy and a slight hint of teenage parts to relate to its a great read. I love the idea of the different "planes"
and the different classes of demon. BTW I like anything that involves transforming (which are what djinns do best).
I would highly recommend this book to anyone and would like to hear comments about the book from other people.

I read it a couple months ago for the first time, and re-read it again last week. I also have read the other two books, which are also works of Art. It was really witty, clever, and unlike most other books about young wizards, didn't coppy Harry Potter.

Nice to see someone else reading a work of art! I'm currently reading "The Golems Eye" (the next one). It's slightly more interesting as it follows lots of different plots.

I read the three at the bookstore/library and... well... it's okay, I guess. Not bad, but it could be better. Maybe because I felt it was a little young.

I pretty much read half the book while waiting for the 6th Harry Potter in a book store, and after that I bought it. I like the 3rd book (Ptolemy's Gate) the best out of the 3.
For all of the people who forgot the names of the books I listed them below
The Amulet of Samarkand
The Golem's Eye
Ptolemy's Gate
