@ Shell Bell
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
I've found Blastoise to be a defense-heavy pokemon, which basically means even 2x special effective attacks won't damage it too badly.
@ Leftovers
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Body Slam/Psychic
-Thunderbolt
It'd be pretty good against other water-based teams, and its high HP will maximize the leftovers' usage.
@ Shell Bell
-Surf/Water Spout
-Ice Beam
-Thunder
-Calm Mind
Special sweeper, clearly, water spout just loses some of Surf's accuracy. I toyed with the idea of using Rest, but that would just take 3 turns, even worse than Hyper Beam's 2 turns.
@ Leftovers
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Rest/Encore
-Snore/Body Slam
Surf & Ice Beam are STAB attacks, even though apart from HP Walrein's pretty average. The Stockpile/Swallow/Spitup trio occured to me as possible, but not if I wanted any STAB points. Encore/Body Slam seemed alright, but I haven't tried them out as yet.
@ Shell Bell
-Aerial Ace
-Ice Beam
-Water Pulse
-Steel Wing
To deal with the friskier part-ice types that won't succumb to the water attacks and electric attacks.
@ Sitrius Berry -> Rock Head
-Metal Claw/Iron Tail
-Rock Slide
-Earthquake/Double Edge
-Swagger
Physical sweeper, plain & pretty simple. Swagger's increased damage should be taken care of with Aggron's high defense. Earthquake sacrifices power against recoil, but if it has Rock head, Double Edge is more powerful, and EQ doesn't hit ghosts anyway.
I thought the other possibility over would be:
@ Leftovers
-Surf
-Ice Beam
-Flamethrower
-Psychic
Surf and Psychic are STAB (again) and Ice Beam can be switched out for something else (Shadow Ball?), but no water-type seems complete without it (not to me anyway). Flamethrower surprised me, but Slowking apparently can learn it, which takes care of nasty grass/bug/steel/ice types (eeeeeek!!!).
So that's my would-be team. What do ya'll think?
Pretty good but I like to have pokemon that are different types instead of just Water or Ice. Examples:
Immune to Psychics. No breeding to get Crunch - an awsome move that is rare for water-types to learn.
Leftovers | Rain Dish | One of the most excellent annyoers of all time in my opinon.
Leech Seed
Giga Drain
Rain Dance
Dive
Volt Absorb!!!
Learns EQ without a TM. Immune to electric.

Lapras and Tentacruel are my favorites. Lapras is a slugger and Tentacruel is a wall.

Meh, over the weeks I've got some new opinions on Water types. Here's the list:
1st | : Still my favourite Water type. Bleh, look back through pages and you should find some reasons.
2nd | : Not a very good fighter, but I like whales. It's also pretty cool, IMO.
3rd | : STABbed Ice Beam and can also Bolt Beam. It can also take on many roles.
4th | : Not for the Uberness, here for the coolness, 'nuff said.
5th | : Very powerful if used right. Capable of 6-0ing players and has an overall wide movepool.
6th | : Read Kyogre. Also my favourite legendary dog.
7th | : Great Sweeper... And can Bolt Beam.
8th | : Use Rain Dance and you've got a good Sweeper. Meh.
9th | : A nice classic. It's a decent Physical Sweeper. though the problem is it's almost impossible to get the correct IVs, etc. (In-Game.)
10th| : It's a wall with slight capability of being a Physical Sweeper. Desereves to be on this list, IMO.

Actually, what I hate the most is how its stats place it as a physical sweeper when its movepool is most definately a special sweeper. I mean, 125 Attack but 60 SA? I think the part flying only then becomes an issue. But then it avoids the more powerful moves like Earthquake right?

I'd say since it's useful if it knows sheer cold since it KOs most pokemon. Its also useful if it has the ability water absorb and with leftovers or shell bell.

I hate how Sheer Cold has only 30% acc. Blizzard is much better with more accuracy, and of course, Ice Beam is the perfect blend of accuracy and power.
However, I will admit Lapras is a real sweet looking one...

Ludicolo (best drainer in the game because of rain dish)
Kingdra w/ one weakness.
Lapras w/ water absorb
Walrein w/ thick fat
Lanturn w/ volt absorb. Also, outspeeds users of its weaknesses (ground and grass)
Gyarados because of its insane physical stat and no hassles w/ egg moves.

LOL expected of a Dragon Tamer but its a good choice due to electric will not KO it in one hit.

Blastoise, Lapras or Feraligatr. All of them have awesome stats and all of them have very few weaknesses.

Suicine is a legendary. Never use legendaries, they come at high levels and with uber stats. It takes the fun out of the game. Also Regiice is an ice type, so it can't be a water pokemon. Milotic is awesome and Armaldo is Bug/Rock.

**Looks at Shadowman's post for a second, blankly, blinking.**
Oh well, my ideal water type is a Water-Ground type. However, I already have one: my Swampert. the reason I say that is that it is very versitile, with Surf, Earthquake, Ice Beam, and Brick Break. Surf is to have a powerful water move that goes well with it, Earthquake is powerful and accuarate, with STAB, Ice Beam is for, well, pretty much that everything Ice is good against, like Flying, fellow ground types, and Grass types. And Brick Break is for... Well, I don't know exactly why I put it on him, but it works well.
But there are many water types. If I had someone to trade with, I could get Kingdra, because it has good stats, and is Dragon/Water.

For me, it's a competition between Suicune and Milotic. I like Suicune's extremely high defenses and HP. Milotic doesn't excell as well in those categories, but it does get Marvel Scale, making it the perfect non-Sleep Status Absorber, and making up for it's lower Defense. I like Suicune's Calm Mind, and Milotic's Recover, but I also like Suicune's Roar...so I'll go with Suicune.

swampert powerful starter
feraligatr aggressor
ninjask speed sniper
magmar the arsonist
ursaring the hyper beam king

I agree, there are far too many Water Pokemon compared to everything except Normal. They ONLY added like 3 Fire Poke families in RSE didn't they?... Camerupt, Torkoal, and Torchic.
I'm not usually a big Water guy, but these are my favorites:
Walrein - Awesome looking Ice/Water tank
Blastoise - Also a Defensive beast
Luvdisc - Fast, can be used to annoy easily
Yeah there are some more I kinda like... but like I said I'm not a big Water fan, I love Grass Pokes though.
