Hey! I thought that there should be a board where people can just write their own theories about different things in the PKMN games... such as, where the came from, or why do certain pokemon appear only at night. So... c'mon! Tell me what you think!

*raises eyebrow* Creepy. Well, you want me to make up Pokemon theories?
Raikou. Why hasn't it appeared in any major Pokemon movies yet? Because it fries the cameras when they get too close. Guess it's camera-shy
Espeon/Umbreon. If moonlight is just sunlight reflected off of the moon, and if Eevee evolves from an Umbreon in a full moon's light, then...how's that possible? Maybe Umbreon just originated from a mutated Espeon (That'd explain why it can learn Psychic)
Kyogre/Groudon. How did they get into the Cave of Origin? Either they squished themselves, or had someone catch them and release them in the cave. Your call
Latias/Latios. They can camoflage themselves by adjusting their fur, so why can we see them in their normal form when we battle them in the wild for the first time? Maybe they've lost a few brain cells by overusing their psychic powers, so they can't remember when to camoflage. (Another thing--they should learn Camoflage...)

Hmmm....ok then
How about , it seems that he can battle in the day time, but in reality owls are very sensitive to the day times, and he should get powered up in night battles.

Why can't every pokemon with teeth learn bite?
How come every pokemon can't learn tackle, all you do is run into something really fast?
Why can't charizard and magmar learn tail glow, their tails are always glowing?
Why can some pokemon learn one of the elemental punches (thuder/fire/ice punch) when they aren't its element but not the other punches?
How can Ash always win with under-evolved pokemon? His strategies aren't that great.

On Tackle=Ever seen a Gastly or Haunter tackle something?
On Tail Glow=That's a Bug type, and Charizard and Magmar aren't the kind of Pokemon to use Bug moves.
On Ash=The world may never know.

Why are Dark-Type attacks Special attacks when they involve mainly biting your opponent viciously or striking them with fast attacks? Because they wanted to render Crawdaunt, Absol etc useless. Well, they failed! Mwahahahaha!... never mind.
How come Wallace asks you if Rayquaza could be in the Cave of Origin when he was inside it himself? I had a theory but edited my post; let's just say he was a bit confused.
Now, I'd really like to know the answer to this one: among all the Legendaries, which are one of a kind and which aren't? I assume Lugia isn't, for Ash and co. found a baby one in an episode; Articuno probably isn't unique or else Noland wouldn't have been able to tame one and get so little feedback from Ash and co.
Oh, I'd like to make one thing clear to anybody from here on who asks about Ash or Pika being Battle Gods. Main characters.

I'd say Ho-oh, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Raikou, Mewtwo and the Regis, Jirachi...unless I missed one (Entei I didn't put in due to the third movie-an Unown Entei, as I call it.)
The Latis, it says in Latias's Dex page that they travel in small groups, so they aren't one of a kind. Entei I already said. The fourth movie (Voice of the Forest) has a whole bunch of Celebis in it. There used to be a LOT of Mews before they went half-extinct. Articuno/Moltres/Zapdos, what Blackwind said plus on Pok

How does mew stay so rare yet with all those people. then how come it survives for like 200 years without breeding?

How about Ash and the connection with legendary? The legends say legendaries are hardly seen, but this guy sees them like if he owned them. I don't care if he's the main character, he's friends and him shouldn't be able to always spot the legendaries.

Same idea here. Maybe he should be attacked by a legendary instead of just seeing one? That'd be interesting ^_^ I can see it now: Raikou going nuts on Ash

Who says mew's never bred? It can transform, right? It just hasn't bred another mew.

Maybe they're afraid of water (The spot they're at has a water barrier)

Well, that has to be a very comfy corner. All those dragons sharing it... one has to hope they don't go cannibal on each other.
Why exactly is it that Golduck isn't part-Psychic?
How do Kangaskhans (sp?) breed?
What is the logic idea behind the Regi's unlocking process; I mean, what's so special about Wailord and Relicanth that they play a role in it?
So, from Gardy1313's answer to my question, I think I can say the unique pokemon are: Deoxys, Jirachi, Mewtwo, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon and the Regis. Is that it?

Relicanth's ancient, Wailord's...really, really big? I don't know. ^_^"

Maybe those two were sacred or important to whatever odd ancient dudes did that. They're both water Pokemon, so the people (Assuming they lived on or near the ocean) would occasionaly see them, if they travelled a lot. They're also hard to find in the wild, all the more reason for them to think they were special. *Shrug*

well with relicanth being ancient, and thought to be extinct, it would be difficult to obtain even if you did know that it was a surviving species, you probably wouldn't know where to find them, also, wailord could be considered pretty rare, and it could be difficult to (unless you were to evolve a wailmer). also, the chances of knowing exactly where tomb was, knowing how to gain entrence and discovering precisly the correct order of which the pokemon should be in would be pretty slim, atleast in the anime.
