Team Triforce vs. Team Giant: Team Triforce
Yay..now to idolize Link. I was suprised...but I liked both teams (Fire Emblem and Triforce) so I had to choose. Now for Ganondorf and Link to beat Big and Biggerer (I hope).
Team Fluff vs. Team Starfox: Team Starfox
Two words: speed and Reflectordohicky. Fire Fox/Bird too. ^-^ I hope they win.

Team Giant vs Team Triforce
Team Star Fox vs Team Fluff
Link is fast enough to avoid the Giants and strong enough to deal some major damage to them, and Ganondorf can pack enough punch to finish them quickly.
Falco and Fox can avoid the fluff balls, true, but can they lay on enough punishment to KO them? I don't think so. Plus, if Jigglypuff puts one to sleep it's a sitting duck.

Tri-force and Fluff for the win.
I think that Link's swordplay should be able to keep up with the other team. As far as Fluff.. Rest pwns. It's that easy.
And, for the record, I've slept less than 5 of the last 30-someodd hours. Sue me ;P

Round 2 (Semi-Finals)
1. Giant vs. Tri-Force - Link has speed and attack and Ganondorf has power. And Team Giant is just power.
2. Star Fox vs. Fluff - Jigglypuff and Kirby are slow while Fox and Falco could just dodge and attack.

Tri-Force vs Giant
Starfox vs Fluff
Giant = Very bad (Can't believe Emblem lost =])
Fluff = Very bad (Unless it is human player, but it isnt)

Tri-Force. Fox and Falco are too similar, while Link and Gannondorf have different attack styles, and so can get at multiple weaknesses.
BTW, I should have asked this a long time ago, but (I'm assuming all CPU's are on the same level) what level are the CPU's at? I know they're all CPU controlled, but how good are they?
Edit: Okay, cool. That was pretty much what I was expecting (I wouldn't have thought about changing the item rate), but I hadn't noticed that info anywhere in the rules and stuff, so I thought I'd ask.

They're all at level 9. Also, the battles are 3 minutes long, all of the items are on but at a low rate, and the stage is randomly chosen.

Tri-Force vs. Star Fox- I chose Tri-Force because they have good attack and Ganondorf is hard to get of especially for little guys like Fox and Falco. And like JsXtm said Tri-Force has a variety of attacks while Fox and Falco have the same moves.

Team Tri-force. Because I like Legend of Zelda. Plus, Starfox doesn't pack as much hurt as Ganondorf and Link do.

Team Triforce. Loyalty/what everybody else said. Variety vs. carbon copies of the other=variety.

Tri-Force for the win. All loyalties aside, Link's got far better Melee attacks. He's also got his own projectiles when the need be. Ganondorf's got power on his side too.
Star Fox may have speed, but meh..

Tri-Force vs. Star Fox - Honestly, Fox and Falco are just too heavy (They both fall like rocks when they are knocked off and Fire Fox/Bird doesn't really help too much if they are at the bottom of the stage when they use it). Plus, they don't really have any decent attacks (Sure some of the Smash moves are ok, but Link and Ganondorf work better)
Link and Ganondorf will probably win, if anyone has tried the game on Normal, Hard or Very Hard, you'll easily see why. (I can beat Falco and Fox on Hard, but I always get whipped by Link (Or even Young Link) 90% of the time.) Plus Link can probably stall with A, while Ganondorf uses the Warlock Punch to launch them. (If damage is 1.5% or Higher it can OHKO)

TriForce for the win!!
They are just too strong. The only good thing about StarFox is that they are fast, but are also relatively light. With TriForce's strong attacks, it's obvious that TriForce will come out the winner.

Team Triforce for the win. In single combat, Ganondorf isn't very good, but in team/4 player melee, he pwns j00 all. Also, Link isn't half bad either. Team Starfox only has speed going for them, and speed can only get you so far...

Team Tri-Force, NO question. Link owns many things with his super-powerful smash attack and strong sword techniques, and if Ganondorf can score a hit, it's guaranteed to be freakin' POWERFUL. He'll be really hard to knock off for the Star Fox guys.

Team Triforce FTW!
As has been stated over and over again, Fox's team is too similar. Also they fall so fast that a well placed Warlock Punch can p0wn them easily. Plus Link is no slouch in the power department, and he can do all sorts of Ninja crap. Anyway, imagine what a big ol' sword can do to a tiny little Fox. Exactly.

Star Fox vs. Triforce.
Star Fox is pretty cool, although his Fire Fox attack is kind of annoying. The other reason I say team Star Fox would win is because I hate Link.

I realize that most people have the exact same opinion, but I truly believe that Team Tri-Force is the better pair. All of Starfox's attacks are basically the same, while Link and Ganandorf just have much more variety in their attacks.

I don't believe it! My 2 fave teams in clashed! Because Link is a legend and Fox is well, infamous like the Infamous Psypoke Sledgehammer that you must fear according to Neo_Matrix, I vote Team Triforce. Classic from the pixel games... *Sniff*

ok. Sorry for my delay (yet again). Here are the results.
Everyone that voted team Tri-Force voted right.
The winner for SSBM Game 3 is the team of Link and Ganondorf!
